Ran had found a nice secluded area, one completely devoid of trees, as well as a very nice rock that he perched himself upon and let his purple eyes scan the sand around him. He was alone and he felt rather comfortable as such, he missed the company of one of his sisters, she was his closest sibling, but over all he was content.

Surprisingly the heat of the sun, and lack of shade, did little to bother the young dark furred male. He actually enjoyed the feel of the warmth of the sun. "So peaceful, it's rather boring," he lamented with a shake of his head.

Fintan had found the same area, and claimed it. The somewhat lazy cub knew the best spots for lounging, where was good on hot days and where the cooler days were better spent. And since today was cooler than he'd been expecting, Fin had taken up a spot on his favorite sunning rock. Unlike his siblings, Fin had a very pale coat to contrasts against his mother's. His siblings and mothers all had reds or blacks as their predominant coat color, but Finny liked to think that he was special. It wasn't that he didn't have any red or black on him - but the fact that it was in the minority meant he stood out, and that had to be a good thing, right?

Maw stretching wide open in a yawn, he blinked open an amber eye sleepily, surprised to find his brother laying not too far away. He yawned again, a little more loudly this time, and spoke up, "Mornin' Ran."

It was afternoon.
