Variola Major Chivalric Knight Variola Major Also, what's with all the back mounted quivers in fantasy? Any archer worth his/her salt knows that quivers should be worn on the hip, not back, as a hip mounted quiver is much easier to reach into to get another arrow or bolt. You practically have to be double joined to draw from a quiver on your back, especially if you have a longbow or are on horseback. Hell, look at artwork of medieval European archers. Most of them are wearing their quivers on the hip. Same with art of Asian or Native American archers. EDIT: ![User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance...
Bull Feces.
Quivers can be worn on the back too, though this particular one is meant to worn on the side of your thigh. Also, although slightly more uncomfortable, back quivers are easier to unload arrows from and at a fast rate, and it easier to move around quickly without the leg quiver banging around and getting caught on shrubs and sh*t.
... In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace, what did they produce? The cuckoo clock.
In my experience, the opposite has been true. History seems to agree with me. In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance...
General people seem to agree with ME.
But, it is a pain to wear quivers on the side. I, personally, love back quivers because of their ease. Plus, people think you're badass at competitive shoots. : D
