It's said that Angels and Demons were around before Christianty....do you think that's true? There are also stories of angels, not wearing the white robe...or having a halo....is this true also? Let the debate begin!!!!

I think that angels and demons were around before Christianity. Its why people today have problems choosing bad or good. And angels can really come in all forms. Its a stereotype to say they have white cloths on and halos. I've heard many things on angels coming back and not having wings or halos.

many were characters or deities in other religions that the church absorbed in order to facilitate conversion.

And yes angels and demons have always been around, now what shape, size, form and so forth will vary depending on what culture you are observing

Well, a "Demon" is generally just means a malevolent spirit.
And "Angel" just means the opposite.
However, if you really know how Christianity developed, then you'd know that they most definitely that they existed long before it was around.
"Christianity", as we know it has only been around for about 2010 years, Judaism, the basis of Christianity goes back too far to know it's origins.
It's really impossible to know for sure of the origins of Angela and Demons, but you would be correct in saying they were around before Christianity
