"Shut up. Shut up. SHUT UP" -She growled low on her breath as the lioness broke from her pacing, shaking her head as if that might rid it of the voices that were lodged there. It wouldn't work, she already knew, she'd tried before.

Candika... once a great warrioress. A figure who once struck fear into those she stood up against. Lithe.. battle tested.. well marked with both battle scars and muscle. And now here she was, stomping around like a fool. Almost appearing to shiver in frusteration and fear.

Her leg had healed a whole week before thanks to the saftey she'd found along the cliffs. But as she kept holed away healing.. recovering.. something else had happened. Something strange.

It'd come to her first at night, in her dreams. Voices. And gradually they'd infiltrated her days as well. It was them. The ones she'd killed. Taunting her. Talking to her. Chasing her no matter how she paced. She couldn't go back to her group now. Not when her head snapped left or right whenever something sounded. Not when she had to bury her head beneath her paws at night. She couldn't do anything.

Her eyes touched the sky, gazing towards the heights of the cliffs she'd been taking refuge in. Maybe she'd just throw herself off the freaking top? Then they'd leave her alone. Or she'd be a ghost too. And then they'd just follow her again. Stupid. Besides.. one so proud as her could never come to a death as ridiculous and stupid as that.

She was just so.. ughhh.

Indistinguishable words escaped from her grumbling mouth as she made her way slowly up the rocky incline. Walking made things a little better, relieving a minimal amount of tension built up in her, as she tried to sort through what was her own thoughts and what were the nasty little voices. Tail swaying in irritated flicks, she neared the top, surprised to be greeted by the startling taste of salt air.-

There was nothing in life that she regretted. Nothing that haunted her. Lamya had been raised to listen with respect to all of the voices that she heard, and this was something that the black lioness had developed to perfection. She was a cheerful, light-hearted creature. There were no skeletons in her closet, no nightmares that kept her up at night-. She was, for the most part, and open book; willing, free and friendly.

With, perhaps, a slightly darker twist.

It was the Shadows that spoke to her; of all the voices she could hear, theirs was the most prominent. She loved the light, because shadows and darkness could not exist with out it.

The young huntresses was hard at work today; hungry, and on the lookout for food, she prowled through the Kizingo'zaa pride lands with a reasonably happy smile on her pretty face. Her hunting skills were rather lack lustre. Lamya often tripped over her own feet and never managed to catch anything very smart or very fast.

This was the reason she was practicing, by pretending to hunt a lioness. The other lady was larger than most of the things she'd been able to catch and brightly coloured. It was easy to follow her, so follow her Lamya did.

"You will absolutely be the death of me" -She stated suddenly, a little more loudly than the things she'd been murmuring before. And just as suddenly she began to laugh, a frusterated and tired noise lacking the humor it should have held.- "I suppose that's actually what you're after though isn't it? Revenge, revenge."

-She'd finally reached the top.. or atleast, high enough that she could see over the cliffs, eyes greeted with ocean and glistening sand, jungles.. and even signs of life. She was surprised into silence, watching the scene for a long moment, suddenly.. now that she wasn't making noise of her own, noticing the telltale signs of movement near by.

Her head turned, gazing back defensively, claws clacking gently against the rocks beneath her.- "Whos there?" -Was it a ghost too? Ghost didn't tend to rustle through the brush.. did they?-

The shadows insisted that she mimic and that she copy, and Lamya would not oppose them. She giggled quietly to herself, and didn't bother to hide her approach as Candika craned her neck to discover what followed her. The dark lioness had absolutely no intentions of causing physical harm, and was more playful than she was dangerous.

Possibly more crazy than she was playful.

"You will absolutely be the death of me," Lamya cackled, laughing in the same dry tones that the stranger had. Her voice was louder, uninhibited by apprehension. "Revenge, revenge!"

She stopped a couple of feet in front of Candika, not stupid enough to stand close. Many of the lions in the Kizingo'zaa were mad. Lamya was most definitely a few screws short of a completely competent machine, but she also liked to exaggerate her insanity. It was always good for a laugh.

"Who's there?"
