Girl's name: Shukriyya

Name meaning: Thanking in Arabic

Personality: Growing up ‘Riyya was a spunky cub full of curiosity and vigor. She matured into a young lioness with boundless energy. Determined to get her way, she was bold and independent.

After the accident, she has become dependent and clingy most of the time even though she detests the necessity of it. Because she wasn’t born blind, ‘Riyya resents the fact she must now depend upon others to get around. She wonders why the accident happened to her at least once a day. Was it her fault, or perhaps a greater reason? Occasionally Shukriyya will dig her mental and physical feet in. She’ll try to do things for herself, but by day’s end give in to the inevitable.

How did she become blind?:
Shukriyya was born to a family of roving rogues. They moved from place to place as they saw fit. She was just learning to hunt with the other lionesses. In her eagerness, ‘Riyya got ahead of the rest of the group. Instead of waiting for the more experience members to catch up she went ahead and tried on her own. She tried to take down a wildebeest and managed to get a fairly secure neck hold. In the thrashing, both she and the wildebeest fell down a small hidden ravine.

The wildebeest protected her mostly on the landing but she hit her head on the way down. She awoke several hours and found the wildebeest had broken its neck. For an hour ‘Riyya called and called for her family. She was sure her fellow huntresses were looking for her. They never came. After feasting on the wildebeest the long climb to freedom began. There was plenty of boulders for her to scramble up to reach the hole in the ground where she could get out.

She started walking home once she was out. At first she thought it was the sun’s glare affecting her eyes, but by sun’s set she still hadn’t gotten home. She could no longer see and her pride had moved on without her; they believed she’d died.
So she started to slowly wander, feeling with each paw before she placed it.

What happens now?: (Future plans for her, where/how does she live now, etc. anything else you might want to add.) I want her to have a tough time trying to adjust to being blind.
After several days in the savanna a lion will find her and take her in for some reason of his own. She’ll be rather dependent upon him for food and water. She’ll hate him for it even though its her only way to live. Then as he cares for her she’ll gradually grow to love him. ^_^
I’d like her to have a lioness friend as well. So close personality wise they could be sisters. Lioness wouldn’t need to be blind and helps the male care of Shukriyya. Also, helps her to over come her harder days.
With a large amount of practice and tutoring, she would be able to memorize a few trails to waterholes. This would enable her to drink when she wanted without needing to be led.

Personality:
Baldur is dominating lion that appears to take up more room than he really does. Perhaps it is his stance or the way his eyes always seems to be watching you. He is a somewhat solitary that doesn’t encourage ‘social’ visits. Aloft from everyone, even his brother, and cold. He shows no warmth or friendliness to anyone, not even cubs.
He is truly conniving when it comes to getting his payment for services. Nothing is given away free. Baldur is cruel without being crude; he has made it into a form of art. He enjoys tricking the ignorant in giving them fake potions or curses. If he is called out for something not working, Baldur will claim the recipient used it improperly. He does not like the influx of non-lions into the pride.
History:
He will do a little bit of everything that is related to dark magic. However, Baldur’s specialty lies in casting curses. He takes great joy in casting a curse and every detail is attended to religiously. Every night after the moon has set, if you look closely, he can be seen praying to dark Loa. There have been dark rumors about how he got his younger brother, Kast’ulfr, to work for him. He often sent Kast out to fetch the items required for his rituals. Kast is also the one who acquired the bones that Baldur wears.
Description: Black coal coat, markings- fiery red (on face and neck) fading to burning gold (on haunches and tail), markings go from the body and fade out on the legs, mane and tail should be bright crimson, eyes black or gold.
Items- Starting from the back of his neck all the way down to the base of the tail, and on all four legs are tied the longer leg bones. The ones on his legs have dark red rings with slim triangles painted markings on both ends just before the joint knobs. He has a tooth necklace made of large canines inter spaced with large molars. 3-4 canines to every molar.

Kast is a very submissive, particularly where his brother, Baldur, is concerned. He will grovel to any lion, but its most pronounced with Baldur. Strangely silent, Kast will never speak first. It is always the other to start a conversation, and he keeps his answers as short as possible.
There is a certain pride in doing his work, and doing it well. There is no obstacle that is insurmountable when it comes to gathering requested items. The weirder and stranger the request the better he likes it. Kast is kind and welcoming to the new non-lion members.
History:
Kast lived with his brother since he was old enough to perform his pesepte duties. He is particularly apt at finding the rare and valuable ingredients. Gathering the ingredients at the cusp of perfection for plants and animals; treading the darkest places for those unmentionable items.No one knows what happened between the two brothers. They can only guess why Kast’ulfr gathers bones and items for his brother. Kast never speaks of it.
Description: Coal gray coat, sleet blue markings on legs similar to Baldur’s, mane and tail- sleet blue fading to fiery red.
Items- Wears a bone necklace made of short bones, tied together end to end with dried fibers. If I can, vertebrates tied into his mane and tail, larger ones in the mane with a few smaller ones in the tail tuff. His tail threaded through a larger vertebra about half way up, maybe tied in place?

Personality: Hiroaki has always felt that he only needs the company of one lioness and that is his twin sister Amaterasu. If he is separated from his sister for too long he will be very vocal about his anger about the situation. He feels that no one, besides his sister, is worth their precious time so he does his best to avoid others. When he is stuck around others he feels the need to be careless with his words, sometimes saying hurtful things. He doesn't understand that what he is saying can be cruel, believing that words are just words. When he is around his sister, he allows himself to open up. He doesn't mind in the slightest telling his sister about the worries of his day. Though when he does tell her these things he makes sure to do it in the secret language they created incase anyone is ease dropping on them.

Personality: Amaterasu is a recluse. She keeps her distance from anyone around her. The exception is her brother, Hiroaki. When she’s around him, it’s as if they are attached at the hip. She finds it difficult to speak easily in the same language everyone normally uses. Instead Amaterasu is most comfortable speaking in the language she and her twin developed when they were cubs. It doesn’t matter to her that no one else understands it. Because of this she lets Hiroaki do most of the talking; coming off as quiet or shy when they both are around others. When she has something to say, it’s usually in their lingo quietly to her brother.

The markings on his face needs to give a larger impression of a mouth. Show the teeth. Use Ref3 for this. Ref4 is for glowing. I want the eyes glowing a yellow/orangish and mouth glowing oranges/reds! Work the glow in around his marking teeth. On his back should be wings like in Ref5. Work the fire in there too.
