AIM Log -- Krysin & Felyn Persephone & Eros Persephone was feeling miserable. She was sicker than she had ever been in her life! There was likely not another lioness in existence who spent so many hours laying on a sandy, beautiful beach, moaning and groaning over how they did not feel well. Persephone made herself out to be the most miserable creature to grace these lands. She had no idea why she felt unwell. It certainly wasn't the food here, and she hadn't ever been a sickly cub.
Why now, when everything was panning out so nicely? She still didn't have a muse, but Eros assured her that it wouldn't be long before her muse showed itself. She had gotten to know some of the other lions in the pride, and they were all very friendly with her. She preferred Eros' company... Eros, who was, in fact, not here right now. She felt too unwell to get up and look for him. He should know how she was feeling and come to her side immediately!
Persephone had very high expectations, and right now Eros wasn't panning up with them. She, of course, would lend him a helpful paw. She tilted her chin up into the air, and with a deep moan cried out, "EEEEROOOOOSSSSSS!" If he didn't hear her, and she had to get up and look for him, she swore she would chew him out for days straight.Luckily enough for the miserable lioness, Eros was actually coming to look for her. It was rare that Persephone ever made the effort first to find him (not that he minded, he assumed she just liked to be chased and he was happy to indulge her) but today seemed a bit off. He hadn't found her as quickly as he thought he would - she at least usually made an effort to be near him when he went looking for her.
As that terrible cry lit the air, Eros' eyes widened. When had she ever sounded so terrible? Breaking out into a run, in fear that she was terribly injured, the large pink lion bolted down the beach. As he spotted her white form lying there, fear rippled through him. Had she been attacked? Where on earth were the watchers? Had something else happened?
He reached her in a flurry of gasping breaths, his eyes flickering over her worriedly. He said nothing as he nosed and pawed at her, looking for any indication of an injury. Then, as he realized that she was actually acting.. pretty okay, he calmed down and really began to look at her.
"Are you okay?" He asked finally, frowning slightly and still a bit out of breath.Ah, there he was, her knight in shining armor! Look how quickly he ran to her aid - she had never seen a lion dash so quickly to their lover's side! It made her feel special, important, and for a few seconds a little less sick. She didn't bother to reassure him that she wasn't fatally wounded, enjoying how he nosed her and looked her over. It was very difficult for her not to return his worried gestures with affection. She was sick, she couldn't be purring and getting lovey dovey with him!
"Noooo," she groaned instead, rolling helplessly onto her side. She subtly inched closer to him, encouraging his tender care and affection. "I think I am sick, well, no, I know I am sick. I have never felt like this in my life, Eros! My stomach is practically alive, twisting and twirling around. I do not want to move, but it is so hot outside. Can you not plant a tree for me, right here?" Ah, even when she was sick she was still demanding.
Persephone really had never been struck with any serious ailment - this was as bad, if not worse, than anything else she had even experienced. It honestly had her worried, if not a little scared, but even that was cleverly hidden underneath how much she whined and complained. It may even seem to not be serious to the outside eye, since she overdramaticized it so much.A gentle sigh of relief swept over him as he was finally assured that his newfound love wasn't going to die right before him on the beach. That aside, now he knew what was wrong and could react appropriately - really, it just meant more affection for her than usual. That sounded easy, but he wasn't sure how much more he could give without being utterly ridiculous.
"Oh, darling," he said softly, sitting down slowly at her side and leaning down to lick her cheek comfortingly. "If I could move the trees for you, I would, but alas - I am just a lion and not a god." He frowned sadly at her, batting his tail against the sand behind him.
"Is there anything you want that one poor little mortal can bring you, sweetheart?" He managed to sound terribly concerned, even if he doubted that she was as terribly sick as she was suggesting. What on earth would make her sick anyway? She pouted, and if she felt like being more dramatic, she would have turned her back to Eros and started moping. But, she loved Eros too much to be so cruel, and instead was practically laying on his paws with her desire to be close to him, to have his reassurances and his tender words. "You are enough of a god to me," she whined softly. He was being so nice and sweet to her, she couldn't help but try to give him words of praise.
"A kiss?" she peered innocently up at him. If she felt strong enough to get up (she was being overdramatic), she would have sat up to snuggle against him. If she was feeling well, she'd probably walk off with him to a more private spot where they could sit and chat and cuddle until their hearts' content. But, she was feeling so sick! Sephie couldn't stand the thought of moving any further from where she had collapsed down onto the sand.
"I'm hungry, oddly, too. My stomach feels weird but I am hungry." Oh no, here came the onslaught of demands. "I want a nice seashell necklace, something to make me feel prettier when I am feeling very unpretty right now. Do I look unpretty to you?"

"As long as you think I am a god, that's all I need," he said softly and leaned down, gracing her cheek with a gentle lick. "And you can have all the kisses in the world if they'll make you feel better, my love."
He settled down at her side, cuddling up against her, and nuzzling his cheek into the crook of her neck. He would shower her in praise and cuddles and affection until she couldn't think about her upset stomach anymore. Only, as she started making demands, he sat up a little to peer at her.
"Do you want me to go get you some food then?" He was a hunter - that was his job. "I can bring you something small to nibble at if you'd like?" He paused as she demanded a necklace, smiling as he nodded at her. "Or I can go make you a necklace of the most beautiful shells I can find - whatever you want, just say it."
He did however, make sure to lean in and give her a soft nuzzle. "But you're beautiful to me, no matter what."
Ah, he could do anything for her that she wanted him to, and that was very comforting. But, when she thought over it, there was nothing that she would prefer more in this moment than to have Eros by her side. She could forgo eating, and even forgo having a beautiful necklace, if that kept Eros by her side. With a heavy sigh, she leaned her weight into his body, using him as a support, and more importantly, a pillow.
Closing her eyes, she drifted off for a few minutes, and it almost seemed as if she would fall asleep, and Eros wouldn't have to worry over comforting her through her illness. When those few minutes were up, though, she opened her pink eyes, gazing out over the sea. "I don't want you to go anywhere right now," she admitted.
She needed him, and maybe she was being overly emotional (like there was actually a time when she wasn't emotional), but right now she'd be very upset if he got up to go and do anything else. "I'd like it if you just stayed with me until I feel better." A smile appeared on her face then, and she tilted her head up to show it to her lover. "I'd like it even more if you stayed with me even when I'm done being ill."
He smiled softly as she admitted to him that she didn't want him to go anywhere, suspecting that would likely be the case. "I promise I'll make you a pretty necklace once you're all better and I've finished my loyal guardian duties," he said softly, nuzzling his chin against the top of her tuftless head.
He had let his eyes close with his head resting atop hers when she spoke again, and just as he was about to respond - he heard the second part of her request. He couldn't resist the smile that spread over his lips insantly. He opened his eyes and looked down at her, adoration shining for her alone.
"I'll stay with you forever, Sephie," he said softly, "until the sun stops rising and the stars stop shining." He'd be here as long as she wanted him - loyal and loving.
She could wait for a pretty necklace, then, if waiting meant that she got to spend this time with Eros. What she loved about the Kizingo'zaa was that the pride was small, but the lands were vast. Right now, they were perfectly alone, and Sephie wouldn't have it any other way. Like this she could enjoy Eros' presence, could feel the love she had for him, and the love he had for her. Perhaps their romance was considered a little fast by anyone else's standards, but it was perfect for them. "I can wait, maybe I will think of something else I like in the meantime that you can craft me instead."
His words were so utterly heart-warming. She felt herself melt against Eros, her face turning into his mane, breathing in his scent, his essence. Oh, he was so perfect. How lucky she was to have him, to have his love, for all eternity. "You're so gifted with words, love," she replied softly. He wasn't just skilled in the arts of flirtation, no, his gift extended further, and to Sephie's pleasure. "I will never leave your side, too. I love you - I don't think I can stop loving you. Nobody else compares, Eros!"
"Whatever you want in all the world, my sweet, I will get it for you," he murmured, not even pausing to think that he might be setting himself up for failure in the future. Knowing Sephie, she'd ask for the one thing that was impossible to find. Right now though, it was just about making her feel better and soothing her in her time of need.
"I'm only gifted because I am inspired by a beautiful lioness," he murmured, nuzzling her cheek, just next to her ear. If cuddles were what she wanted, love and adoration the only thing it took to make her feel better, then he would provide it. "I love you too, my heart, and I'll let you know it every day of your life." He chuckled, licking her cheek, "even when you're sick and demanding."
He sighed gently, laying his head against hers, and whispered gently against her fur, "you should sleep, love, and try to fight off this sickness."

"I know," she replied with a soft purr. Of course, later on she may very well take that as a challenge, and give him something that he was not capable of finding. And knowing him, he'd smooth it over with a few warm words and gestures, and she would not be upset in the least that he couldn't provide her with what she had asked for. He was certainly an amazing lion, and Persephone fancied him to be the perfect catch. There was no more perfect lion for her than him, and there was not a more perfect lioness for Eros than her. They were meant for one another, of that she was sure.
"Every morning when I wake up, and every night I go to sleep, I'd like to hear it, that you love me." There didn't seem to be a time when Sephie didn't make a simple thing more difficult. It was as if she took pleasure in challenging Eros, and took pleasure in receiving more than she had originally been promised. She knew how to milk something for all that it was worth, and even in this relationship she was acting on her need for more, and more, and more. She wanted more of Eros, and more of his love.
"I will try," she replied softly. In the end, it wasn't so difficult for her to doze off again, to lay her head against Eros' shoulder and slip away into her dreams. She was exhausted, though she had hardly done anything today. Having Eros by her side had helped her feel better, and she slept now with visibly more comfort. How sweet it was to have him as a lover.
"I will be here to tell you every time you wish it, every time you ask," he whispered into her ear, talking in low soothing tones in the hope that it would lull her into a swifter slumber. He so hated to see her miserable, and even though he did not wish to miss a moment of her presence, he would prefer to watch over her slumber than to watch over her while she was miserable.
"Sweet dreams, my love," he said gently, smiling as he watched her face fall into a peaceful indication of unconsciousness. He didn't move from the spot, or untangle himself from the cuddle against her form. He simply lay his head next to hers with his eyes open and watching the world around him. He would watch while she slept, a temporarily Watcher of her dreams.
