There wasn't much to be said for Sifa's life in the pride. Not to say that she didn't enjoy it, or that she didn't do anything. She just didn't do much besides her role in the pride. She minded the cubs - the entire day. It was her sole purpose in the pride, and one that she took seriously. Even while appearing to rest, her eyes remained trained on those in her charge. Even blinking seemed too long to look away, and so she often strained her eyes to the point of causing her head to ache. When the sun set and she was released from her duties (or when the sun rose, or the parents returned or whatever gave her some sort of respite), she would often collaspe within a few minutes. Though her mind never rested, at least her eyes could shut and her limbs could relax and some part of her being would enjoy a bit of a break from her otherwise tense nature.
Just then, she was watching. The cubs were rolling around and generally being young, and their Minder appeared to be relaxing. Her tail twitched occasionally, and her eyelids were partway closed but her eyes were no less focused. They bounced from one cub to the other, never missing a movement. Her mind worked, managing the task of observing her charges while also contemplating the struggle to discover her muse. It was there, on the outskirts of her mind, but it was just out of reach. She knew it was trying to speak, but whether it was unable to break through the rigid structure of her organized thoughts or she simply wasn't able to understand yet, who was to say?
