Meaning of name: "Life everlasting."

Personality: Uzima has been through much strife in her young life. This has led to her growing into a strong, sturdy lioness at heart. She has a good head on her shoulders and is very, very dedicated to the strength and prosperity of her pride. She would freely give her life to it. Uzima can also be slightly opinionated about certain things that might affect her pride.
She is a very skilled huntress and loves cubs. Uzima will oftentimes spend endless hours coaching and praising cubs who show success at hunting. She very much enjoys what she does, and takes much satisfaction. in being able to provide to the pride that saved her life when she was a cub. There is nothing more pleasing to Uzima than being able to bring home a kill for all to feast on.
Uzima wasn't always as she is now.
As a cub, Uzima was filled with apprehension about everything. She was very skittish about every little thing and rarely left her mothers side. Uzima had no aspirations of her own. She participated in pride activities when she was coaxed to, hated being around other cubs, despised chores and helping the pride in its endeavors. Uzima's mother would baby her, providing excuses to others. In truth, her mother was slightly bewildered at Uzima's personality; she was different and nothing like any other member of their pride. Uzima walked to the beat of an odd drum, one that nobody else seemed to hear.
It was as she grew older that Uzima seemed to become comfortable in her own skin. After having her life destroyed by the plague and then saved by the Kima'baba, Uzima grew to realize that she would have to adapt and change. She believed that before the plague her life's rhythm wasn't in sync with the earth's melody. It took great loss and destruction for her to become the lioness she is today.

Meaning of name: No meaning.
Gender: Female.

Personality: Amara'sarai is pretty nuts in the strangest way possible. She's convinced she hears the voice of another lioness in her head, one she's fondly named Sarai. Amara does try and tamp down this insanity when there are others around, but she usually fails. Sometimes it's hard for her to differentiate herself from Sarai. When apart, Amara is the nice, intellectual side of herself, while Sarai is.. well, a bit more bloodthirsty and wild. They will speak in first person then. They are more like sisters or best friends as opposed to one single entity. Any lions they meet while apart will not be remembered by the counterpart lion. Meaning, when Sarai meets a lion and has an encounter, Amara will have no memory of it. Regardless of this strange fact, they are both quite cognizant of each other and will call each other by names if the other comes up in conversation.
About Amara: Amara is a very quaint soul. She's exceedingly nice and kind, very well-behaved. She does enjoy telling fabrications to get out of any trouble she might find herself in. Amara is the innocent of the two; it's easier to get along with Amara than it is Sarai. Amara is a daydreamer, a romantic. She loves pretty things which is good because Sarai loves stealing pretty things.
About Sarai: Sarai has no qualms about throwing down and lashing out in a fight if she needs to. She's kind of a bully, very outspoken and brash and doesn't hesitate to take over if Amara isn't getting things done properly. Sarai enjoys pain and suffering, thieving and stealing... she's a criminal at heart and will never back down from a fight.
About Amara'sarai: When they are the same entity, Amara'sarai is a force to be reckoned with. She is neither fearful nor foolhardy. She is the perfect balance of beauty and grace, of outspokenness and shyness. When together, Amara'sarai tends to talk oddly, using "we" and "us" -- "We are not fully awake this morning; dawn has come too early for us."
Together, they are sane. Apart, they are citizens of Planet Insanity, population 1. (Or 2?).

Personality: As a cub, Jini idolizes her father in a borderline unhealthy way. She desires to be just like him; she takes what she wants and doesn't care who is hurt in the process. She hates all of her siblings, but Jini especially hates any that her father shows favor to. All lions she meets in her life are instantly compared to daddy dearest. She seems incapable of showing love or "feelings" and has no need of friends. All she needs is daddy's approval. It's all that matters in the world.
Like daddy dearest, she's got a soul-deep mean streak ten miles wide. She's sadistic, brutal, perverse and rash. The only lion she'll listen to is Angra, and she listens to him well. She'd never do a thing to displease him, except, perhaps, hurt her sister Kumbukizi. Jini despises her sister down to her very core because of the favoritism that Angra bestows upon her.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree with this one.
