Traveling Between The Worlds: Conversations With Contemporary Shamans by Hillary Webb is a very interesting book. A collection of interviews with members of different spiritual traditions, it provides commentary on what shamanism means in modern spiritual culture.

While it is not a "How To" book, I feel the interviews were insightful and worth reading. I especially enjoyed Rabbi Gershon Winkler's words, and I enjoyed reading Tom Cowan who I have read previously.

I respect the book for it's commentary on the transformation the worldview and practice undergoes when the traditions are removed from the cultural context as well.
