Fura snorted audibly when he spoke of "problems". Oh yes, problems. Like him. Still, she had to admit the answer was vague enough to also not cast the blame on her, as he had every time it had come up thus far. She was far from pleased with him, but molified somewhat by his noncommital reply to this Sultan of his.

She was pleasantly surprised though when, instead of growling at her to get moving, as he had the entire trip, he came and offered her help. For a moment she stared at him in utter shock, eyes wide and ears canted to the side. She soon recovered herself though, closing her dropped jaw and thanking him in a quiet murmur. Willingly she leaned into his shoulder, snugging hers comfortably against him and leaning slowly into him, attempting to gain balance.

He was a good bit bigger than her, so she actually had to raise her shoulders to reach his, but once well braced, she discovered it did indeed make walking much easier. She shot him a wordless glance, slanting her eyes to the side. If you had done this to begin with, we'd have gotten here so muchf aster, she thought silently. He also might have won her forgiveness as well. She wondered if he knew this, but kept her thoughts to herself. She still stood firm against incriminating Nev unless he attempted to publicly blame her for the injury.

She limped along beside him, hopping occasionally to try and keep her small shoulder against his when his strides were so much longer. It wasn't his fault, for once. It was how it was, so she gamely did her best to work with what was offered. Even so, she hoped the den was near!

Aali watched quietly at first, but not with judgmental eyes, after all some females were harder to capture then others. Still this Fura seemed like she would adjust well enough, but a female with an injury like that could become...well useless. Alright perhaps useless was too harsh a word, every female could be of use, but a beybanu who couldn't run, or hunt it was a huge risk.

"Perhaps you should carry her..." He suggested mildly worried about continuing when he saw how badly swollen her paw was. "I could help if you wish Nav?" He offered tentative not wanting to offend the other pad, but also worried about seeing his beybanu endure walking much more. He would have to be sure to send one of his banu over with some food and to help the female out until she healed.

Nav'hian was relieved when the female did not put up a fight to his help, but instead leant against him quiet heavily. Obviously, she had been sore for a while. He hadn't even really noticed. He scolded himself inwardly, keeping his stance strong so that she would be able to lean on his fully without worrying.

He tensed a little at his friend's words, but knew they had not meant to infer that he could not take care of what was his. "I will be fine, Aali," he told the other man firmly but not rudely. He could easily carry Fura's weight if he had to. He did not know if she would be alright with the carrying.

He knew he should have simply acted and expected her to accept it but the bonds between them were still too new for her to follow him without asking, so he paused, and glanced at her. "Do you wish to continue like this or would you rather I carry you?" He would lower himself so she would be able to climb across his back if she agreed to be carried but he did not know what to expect. Would she agree to rely on him completely?

She had expected him to be at least somewhat seething after her injury caused a big fuss. So it was that his polite inquiry actually startled her. She paused in her tracks and craned her neck to peer up at him around his thick yellow mane. She could sense some tension indeed, but not the resetment she had braced for. Her eyes took on an assessing, thoughtful look as she considered the offer.

Her shoulder only hurt minimally from the favoring of the one paw. Unto itself it did not hurt, so that leaning it hard against him wasn't bothering it at all. Weight was off her swollen paw, and it seemed content to just hang there for the time being. After mentally taking stock, she shook her head. "No, I should be fine this way, if you don't mind my leaning on you." Her voice was soft, meant for his ears alone. But her eyes still searched his face. If he paid attention, he might catch on that her question was two at once. Would he be someone she could depend on and lean on? Or was that something else for him to despise her for?

Hmm, he listened curiously to the way the two shared words and the way Fura continued to lean on Nav. She would be a good banu, they might have some bumps along their path, but Aali knew when a Pad and Banu would manage to work well together. He kept his pace slow until he managed to reach the den.

"Here we are, the perfect den to start your harem Pad Nav'hian." He smiled and dipped his muzzle respectfully. "I'll leave you and your new banu to settle down and make yourselves at home. Nav'hian if you need anything let me know? I can send one of my banu with fresh meat until your beybanu feels well enough to hunt?"

Nav'hian had kept his gaze on Fura until she responded, tensing a little at the words. He didn't know if she meant them as more than face value but he answered them as such. "Of course I don't mind," he told her softly, raising his head and refocusing on their path. He allowed her to lean on him, with a calm strength that kept them both from tumbling over. He had brought her here under horrible conditions, but he was determined to start their new life better.

He started to walk towards his father's old den, thankful for his friend's tact in keeping his pace slow so that Fura would not be rushed. When he saw the den, it was a little run-down and unclean, having been left unused for most of the time. It needed fixing up, but Nav'hian couldn't help the sarcastic thought that it looked better now than it had when he was a child. He sighed to himself, but smiled at his old friend.
"Thank you, Sultan Aali," he said, careful to be respectful but there was real gratefulness in his eyes. "I will let you know if we need help, your banu's assistance for food would be appreciated if Furaha'ini is unable to hunt, but for now, I think we both simply need rest." He waited for a moment, and began to lead Fura inside their den where they could rest. He glanced back at his friend and said quite honestly, "You have done a wonderful job with the pride, old friend." He gave him a small smile and escorted the founding member of his future harem into the den.
