As a young girl Xianghua was trained in the art of Fire bending and sword-play. Xianghua was born in the Royal city in the Fire nation and into the Chai family. They have groomed men and women alike into seasoned warriors for many generations. The Chai family was born in the heritage of General Ming. Xianghua was the oldest child of the noble family and was trained the most but unlike her younger siblings she shown to have the most raw talent and power as a child. As Xianghua grew older her parents decided to stop her training. "You are to beautiful a girl to put into battles now Xianghua." her father would tell her so her training did stop but who's to say she didn't still train on her own. Xianghua was 14 years old at the time. Over the next year as she continued to train on her own her parents began to get wind of what she was doing on her long walks threw the forest and she knew it was a matter of time before they found out.
So at the age of 15 Xianghua ran away from her family and taking her nobility with her. So for Three years Xianghua traveled the Fire nation and parts of the earth Kingdom learning new things as she went along. For money she would perform sword tricks and fire bending shows to earn whatever money she needed and maybe stole a thing or two.
