I don't but why would that make you crazy to call the moon Diana?

I don't call her Diana, but that's because I don't worship the Roman gods. I feel it is interesting to note that the moon itself isn't actually Diana in Roman myths, but instead is known as Luna, which holds the place in the Roman pantheon that is represented by Selene in the Greek pantheon.

Diana isn't a Greek Goddess, she's a Roman Goddess, and she's not the Roman Moon Goddess, but instead is associated with the moon. Pretend there is a picture of you sitting beside your best friend. When you look at the picture, you wouldn't say you are your best friend, but instead you're associated with them because you are friends. Diana is associated with Luna, the Roman Moon Goddess. Luna is the Moon herself, and is associated with Diana.

The same analogy using Greek goddesses would replaced Diana with Artemus and Luna with Selene.
