Tarina grinned. She caught Kirja's attempts to look reserved in the corner of her eye, and they amused her muchly. She was a storyteller, yes, but also, at times, a clown.
She circled around, showing off her high-paw-stepping run -- before, at the last moment, breaking into a real lope, running at the girls. She skidded to a stop just before plowing into them, and regarding them both with utmost solemnity. "Thank you, young debutantes," she said, "For your most helpful instruction."
Then a grin spread back across her maw and she batted at Vevilla's rump with a large orange-banded paw. "Now be off, both of you...and tell your family I said hello."
She watched after them as they left, something soft and very fond in her eyes. This was why she was glad to be back home. Above everything else -- bringing laughter to children, was one thing she had desperately missed in her time away with the others.
