Incidentally Fruits Basket was the first manga I ever read...it really shocked me then and KOed my sheltered world, but I've a lot to thank it for. It gave me the push in my ongoing career of manga-reading. Looking back, Fruits Basket is just another manga out there, but it's still special. Boy, I sound like an old woman biggrin
