It was time. He had decided it was time, with the guarantee of another couple of females to join his Harem soon and Kifas cubs up and toddling and much more independent, he had decided that very morning that it was time for Kifa to provide him with some 'heirs' to his throne so to speak.
"Kifa? Kifa where are you?" He calls, padding in to the darkness of his den, she had been so well behaved of late, he wanted to make this an extra special day for his first Banu.
"Kifa, I have a surprise for you." He whispers, his blood red eyes glistening in the darkness.

Kifa was taking a small break, the heat was so unbearable today for some reason. It was no point hunting anyways even the prey was trying to hide from the heat. She had chosen to lay in the darkest part of the den away from the furs on the bed.
Kifa's mind wandered a bit thinking about the other members of the pride she knew. She wondered if she would find time to visit with her friend or little Vashti, who would no doubt want some more voice lessons. Bless little Vashti, but singing was not her strong point. Kifa had this feeling she could dance though, to bad she could not teach her that. Maybe she could poke her brain for the steps but Kifa had two left paws. In trying to remember these things she dragged her claw in the ground drawing outlines of lioness in different positions. They were simple but not badly drawn. Her birth pride was very into the arts of all kinds. Perhaps one day she could raise her cubs in the arts as well as the way of this pride,even if she didn't agree with everything in this pride.
Kifa's ears perked to the sound of Kwea's voice. He was calling for her, immediately she thought she was in trouble even though she couldn't figure out why. Then he mentioned something about a surprise. A surprise for her? She got to her paws and quickly approached Kwea. Her rainbow eyes being the first thing seen in the darkness of the den. Pink and blue shinning out the most of all. She did a little bow of respect still uncertain of his mood before sitting before him. "Yes, Kwea? ..A surprise?" Kifa tilted her head in a cute manner red starting to take over the pink in her eyes.

A smile laced his maw as he looked Kifa over, she was beautiful. He remembered why he had brought her in, remembered why he had captured her. For her beauty and despite her stubbornness, in those early days she belonged to him now and he was proud to own her.
He nods a quiet affirmative and nods his head. "Come. It's something you will like." He whispers turning tail and leading the way out of the den. He had the perfect day lined up for her, just the two of them, together for the whole day. He hoped she would appreciate that he had honored her request.
"I'm not angry at you Kifa, in fact, I am very pleased with you and this little surprise is just for you my lovely little song bird." He whispers pausing to let her catch up before continuing away from the den.

Kifa's curious look turned into an ear to ear grin, she was was very excited now. A smile like this was really rare, in her mind everything that upset her was vanishing. She could forget for now that she had to share him with another lioness. He was her mate and she was his and that's all there was to it.
She hopped to her paws with a bounce in her step. She caught up with him and walked along side him, though keeping just one step behind to show respect in her own way.
Kifa cues lightly like the little song bird she was accused of being. When she was pretty sure he wasn't looking she straitened up her fur and licked off a bit of dirt. She had not been expecting this so she worried she was all mussed up. "Kwea you are to good to me!" She chirped looking about trying to guess what they were going to do.

His pale coat reflected the light of the day away from him and showed off all of his heavy muscular build. He was in the prime of his life and it was time to show everyone just how young, and virile, he was. "I have a whole day planned for you Kifa my little love bird." he chuckles, nudging her with an almost tender touch, his tongue licking out over her cheek. He smiles a very cocky smile taking a few more steps in front of her before breaking in to a run with a gentle, barking laugh.
"Come Kifa, run with me, we have a short way to go and I don't want to waste a moment with you." H e knew exactly what would keep her on his heels, promises, hopes, dreams, alone time.
"The whole day just me and you, just like I promised." His eyes danced as he looked back at the pretty flighty female. He was so proud she belonged to him, any male would be proud of her, after all, she was extraordinarily beautiful. "You know My Kifa you are very beautiful when you smile." He calls, his tail curling in the air as he lead the way towards a place, just for them.

Kifa was about to give him a lick back when he stepped away from her. She raised her eye brow before giving chase after her pad. Kifa caught up with Kwea's long stride. Her body was leaned but more toned then the last time Kwea spent any time with her. Health hunting muscles showed in her every stride she was quite good at hunting now. Obviously she had been providing for Kwea, three cubs, and another lioness as well as herself.
"Really?" Kifa almost didn't believe him she felt so happy she ignored his comment hinting to what the day would lead too. Her eyes glowed with all the colors of the rainbow. She was so excited not one emotion over took the other. Kifa jumped into the air trying to show off for her pad. She landed ahead of them turning she smiled at his comment while waiting for him to pass by her again. "Thank you Kwea." Kifa chirped happy to forget about the other girl and the cubs for once.

"Of course really." he chuckles watching her flounce and flurry before him. he wanted to catch her to hold her down to tell her things he told no others. She gave him a little flutter in his heart that he knew was more than simple tolerance for her.
"This way." He smiles leading her in to a small copse of trees, the sun dappling in from above played along his pale coat creating unusual patterns up and down his spine.
"I've been saving this place, just for you."

Kifa followed him just beaming with joy about everything. She watched the sun's rays sparkle across
Kwea's pelt. Moving up beside him she rubbed herself against his side purring lightly. A rare thing indeed for her to start a touch between the two of them.
"Its pretty." Kifa cued lightly in his ear.

The bloody maned male chuckles "This isn't your surprise." he purrs, enjoying the touch which came from her, for once. "This is your surprise." He nudges her forwards in to a brightly lit opening in the little copse of trees, here, water obviously ran for the grass was green and tall, as high as their eye line and every where they could see, flowers bloomed in a thousand different colours. Tiny insects buzzed among the greenery, happy to drone their happiness to the world.
"I'v been saving this place for you." He whispers licking behind her ears in an affectionate manner.

"Oh." Kifaranga blushed but she did like how it seems to sparkle under the trees in this spot. She giggles playfully as Kwea nudges her forwards she prances a bit before stopping to look over this secret spot which he had saved for her. Kifa purred louder nuzzling Kwea before giving him a lick in reply to his. "Its beautiful Kwea, thank you." Kifaranga said before giving him an odd look she would have never given him before. It was flirtatious, but smug. She suddenly nipped gently at his ear before diving into the taller grass. Her green body easily hid in the grass but her playful giggle would give her location away to anything with ears.

Chuckling happily, the big pale male bounded in tot he long grass after the bird like femme, following her tinkling laughter. She was so beautiful, she was his and she appreciated that he'd saved this place for her.
"I'm glad you like it." He smiles rooting through the grass after her sing song voice.

Kifaranga stalked about with her belly to the ground. She was trying to round about a moving target, Kwea that is. She still couldn't suppress her laughter though she was just so happy right now. She moved closer to him hoping he couldn't tel where she was. Kifa suddenly jumped from her position attempting to tackle him from behind.
"Gotcha!" She shouted.

The large pale male laughed his blood red eyes settling on the pretty female, he wraps his paws around her and kisses her face all over. "You're very beautiful, you know that, don't you?" he smiles touching his nose to hers.
"This is your meadow my Kifa, I won't bring anyone else here. It's a place, for just you and me."

"Maybe?! But I like being reminded of it." Kifa said jokingly before she licked him back. She enjoyed the feeling of their noses touching. She then moved to bury her head in his mane.
"I like the sound of that." Kifa sighed happily she had not had anything of her own for a while now. And this meadow was just her's and Kwea's she didn't have to share it with the other banu. "I love you Kwea." She purred and she meant it.

"I love you too Kifa." he whispers nuzzling her gently and pulling her down in to the long grasses. he knew he would keep this place just for Kifa, it was the least he could do for her for being such a good Banu, at last. This was their place he had promised her that and he could certainly keep that promise.
