Thuraya had had a good day, she had woken early and was able to spend some alone time with Kwea, it was hard adjusting to a new home and sharing Kwea but at the same time she wouldn't trade it in for anything, she loved her home and Kwea a great deal. After having some alone time with Kwea Thuraya had the time to go back to her father's den and visit her family, some of her litter mates were still there in his den having not found their pads yet and of course there was her younger siblings that she enjoyed watching grow so much.
Now Thuraya was relaxing under a tree not far from her den, the den she shared with Kwea and his other banu. Later tonight she was to go out on a hunting trip with Kifaranga. Thuraya was a little worried about spending alone time with Kifaranga as Amara had warned her sort of about the other lioness and Thuraya about the other lioness, but Thuraya wanted to give the other lioness a fair chance. She also was told to go on this hunting trip with Kifaranga and she would never disobey a direct command of her beloved Kwea.

Oh Kwea just always had to push it with her, didn't he? It wasn't enough for her to not claw the other lioness's eyes out but he wanted her to hunt with and get along with them!! That's alright she would figure out away to steal Kwea's attention, there must be away to keep it on her!
Kifaranga returned exactly on time for her hunting trip with Thuraya. She had spent some of her free time teaching little banu Vashti to sing. She had grown very fond of little Vashti and always came back with a better mood after seeing her.
"Hmp." Kifa gruffed as she noticed Thuraya under the tree. "Gods help me...." Kifa growled before continuing towards the other female. "Thuraya." Kifa greeted in a cold manner. "Ready?"

Thuraya rose to her feet as Kifa came up to her. Thuraya was much smalled then the adult lioness, not only was Thuraya an adolecent but she was also very small in size. She was a little worried about the cold way in which Kifa greeted her, but Thuraya was trying hard to keep a positive outlook though.
"I am all set." Thuraya said a chipper voice. Thuraya was a little nervous about the hunting trip, she only really knew the basics of how to hunt, she had never really done it on her own, she had only gone out a few times with her mothers and watched them hunt.
The young lioness wanted to say something to Kifa start a conversation something anything to bond with the lioness, but she found herself speachless.

Kifaranga had always been the more well muscled lioness in any group, but she had always tried to ignore it. Her sister was slender and the males seemed to like it more. So in her mind Thuraya was the same size as she was. She kept a cold look about her as she turned to lead the way to her favorite hunting spot at this time of day. It was just barley dusk and she knew this was the best time to start hunting in this area.
Kifa kept quite most of the way she really had no reason to speak with this other banu. Though she did not feel the same hate as she did for Amara. She figured it was because of the time she saw Kwea and her cuddling. He treated her so much differently and it drove Kifa crazy. The silence between them was actually starting to get to her. "So...." Kifa slowed down and glanced to Thuraya. "Are you....experienced at hunting?"

Thuraya followed behind Kifa slilently. She didn't know what to say or do, it was an awkward walk and she found it difficult to decide what was going to happen on this little hunting trip. Would she and the brightly colored lioness become friends, or was Amara right, was there no making friends with this lioness.
When Kifa spoke Thuraya jumped somewhat, not expecting to hear the other lioness talk. She blushed at the mention of her hunting skills, she found herself happy that her fur was dark and hid any hints of the blushing. "I am ashamed to say that my hunting skills are well less then what one would call average. In all honestl this is the first time I am going out on my own, and expected to bring something back. I have only gone out and watched my mothers hunt. I am sure you are going to be much much better then I." she looked at the other lioness hoping that a compliment might break the ice between the two of them.

"Oh the gods help me." Though Kifa said it with an annoyed voice she smiled at Thuraya to let her know it really didn't bother her.
"Dont worry about the bringing something back so much. If you're really bad I take off on my own as a last resort. After all I've been catching enough to feed, Kwea, Amara, and her cubs so I can handle it if things get down to the nitty gritty." Kifa chuckled a bit trying to soften the mood again. Kifa needed a friend why shouldnt it be Thuraya?
Kifa's nose lifted as she caught scent of something though they were still a ways off. "That's a promising smell...Gazelle I think. Very good prey for newbies. I can set you up and chase them your way. Hopefully both of us will snag one. If you need help with the finale bite just grunt and I'll be there. Its always seems to me the hardest part to learn." Kifa was used to taking a teaching position by now. She was teaching little banu vashti how to sing after all.
