modest clothing, or jilbab??

ok... so i just wanted to know wether wearing modest clothing was enuf, or wether u shud wear a jilbab....

its just kinda confusing...

i wear jilbab aswel as hijab... but sometimes (like now) im thinking... isnt modest clothing enough...

and by modest clothing i mean no tight fitting clothes, long sleeves....

what r ur thaughts.... guys comment 2.. its good 2 get xtra input...

one more thing,hijab doesn't have to be a black or white scarf,u can use any colours u know

I live in America, and many girls just wear modest clothing. They wear Hijabs at Muslim events~

yea.. hijab is a must... i wear it.... i started wearing jilbab.... but now im like modest clothing is enuf... so now i wear modest clothing instead of jilbab.... and jilbab sometimes if i feel like it... heart

What do you mean by " modest clothing is enough.." not necessarily speaking is modest clothing enough... you must also behave modestly as well. Because if you don the hijab, and you wear abaya, and hijab.. it's really useless if you have a lousy behavior. ( lousy meaning, swearing, showing off, etc.) In America , it is common to see many muslimah's who dress modestly, but whose attitude aren't modest at all. So, in my opinion dressing the part is not enough

Everyone need to catch it slowly, if you ask them to wear and being at right attitude, its just too much. Modest clothing is better than the other worse thing.
For me, the thing about hijab is up to you (and ahem, don't talk about the variety of hijab, almost everyone knew it). About modest clothing (for Islam) . . . hmm there are many thing situations that affected it. I guess the simple sentence about it was "not to attract the wrong attention or to many attention"

When people wearing dull color or normal stuffs: Don't wear contrast color like lime or pink OR wearing something out of ordinary

When people wearing bright or weird thing: Follow it but make sure its not good at attracting attention

Okey its sounds like camouflage O__o

As long as your clothes aren't short, tight or transparent you can wear whatever you want, it doesn't have to be a jilbab.
