A happy feeling had finally settled on Jyotika, it was not a happy feeling she had ever felt before. It made her heart beat rapidly and made her face feel hot and she even occasionally felt flustered. She had never been in love, the fact that she didn't know what love was sort of fixed the thought that she might be ill in her mind.

Of course she only had this funny fuzzy feeling when Vanhi was around. Perhaps she should ask Vanhi about it? With that thought in mind she gets to her paws, raises her nose to the scent trail he had left and immediately hot foots it don the path he had taken.

The bright red male had spent the good part of the morning teaching his son some basic hunting skills. After the successful session that led to a good kill, Vanhi had a nice chunk of meat in his mouth that he was bringing back for a certain dark female.

The thought of her made his face heat up and his stomach flutter slightly. He had always wanted to have a mate and family of his own, and to finally be able to find someone with the same ideals as him...was a dream come true. After spending some time with the female, they got along rather well and he couldn't ask for better. His purple eyes gazed around as he was heading back in the direction of where he came from. With a nice gift to boost.

The dark female with her striking gradient markings stopped misstep as she spotted the bright red male. Her face lifted in a very bright, very wide smile as she gazed at the large dark red male. She could't remember a time when she was this happy, when she was this pleased with her life.

Flickering her tail happily she picks her paws up once again and walks towards him with her head held high and a wide smile on her maw. "Hello Vanhi." She purrs, her odd eyes looking him over partially secretly. He was such a handsome male. She couldn't help but like the way he looked but this fuzzy feeling, well it was tingling up her toes right now. She had never felt this way about anyone before.

It didn't take long at all for the dark female to come into view. Well at least that'd save Vanhi the trouble of trekking all the way back with his gift for her.

As she came to him and greeted him, he bent forward and lowered the leg he was carrying in his mouth for her. He smiled, "Hi Jyotika! I was just making my way back with this for you....as a gift." He couldn't help but feel his face heat up shyly, "We had a successful session today, so this is for you."

Jyotikas smile stretched wide as he dropped the leg and proclaimed it as a gift. Moving closer tot he big red male he licks his cheek feeling the heat burning under her dark fur. "We can share it Vanhi." she purrs sitting down and forgetting the gift for the moment.

"I need to know something Vanhi." She licks her lips, she wasn't usually nervous, her bluntness was a front for her feelings.

He nodded at her comment about sharing the leg. There was no way he'd turn it down, especially since he'd get to eat with her company, that'd make everything just the more sweeter.

Though, his head tilted to the side curiously as he looked at her, "What can I help you with, Jyotika?"

She licks her lips and pauses for a moment looking him over first with the red eye and then with the blue. She flickers her tail and laughs. "I sound so serious." she whispers nudging herself a little closer to Vanhi, her large dark body shifting through the sand easily.

"What does it mean when you feel tingly in your toes and tour stomach flips over, but, but only, but only when you're around a certain someone?"

He reached over to nudge her gently before she asked her question. Silence washed over him as he looked at her curiously. Did she...feel this way about him? He blinked a few times before he replied.

"Does your stomach flutter when I do this?" He reached forward to touch his nose with hers softly, "When you get those feelings around a certain someone, that means that you are attracted to that other and quite possibly....might be falling in love," He paused, "Does your heart beat more when you see that lion? Do you look forward to seeing that lion when he's away? Things like that?"

Her legs felt entirely to much like jelly when he touched her nose, and her heart leapt in to her throat. For once her confidence melted away, for once she wasn't just a strong warrior she was something else.

"Yes." She mangoes her throat feeling dryer than it ever had in her whole life. "Yes to all of those things." She whispers moving closer to the big male and without a moments thought she buried her nose in his thick mane, cuddling in tot he blood red male. "I think I might be falling in love with you."

Her words made him elated as he felt like this day couldn't get any better for him. As she buried herself into his mane, he felt his face light up in a bright smile. Her confession made his heart flutter so.

He bent his head slightly to rest on top of hers ever so gently as he replied, "Well...it would be safe to say that you've stolen my heart from me, Jyotika. If I might be so bold, would you honor me by being my mate?" He wanted to ask her, instead of beating around the bush. Since she was so blunt, it wouldn't do her justice to not be the same.

Her dark ears vanished against her head as he spoke, his words rumbling down through her chest and for a brief moment her hart stopped. Mates? Yes, she wanted to be his mate, she very much wanted to be with him. She loved him. The feelings he compelled from her were ones she didn't even know how to express properly, ones she had certainly never expressed before.

"I couldn't think of any better male to be my mate Vanhi." She whispers lifting her head and touching her nose to his, her odd coloured eyes boring deep in to his. "I have never had these feelings before Vanhi, but with you, with you it's okay to tell you. It's okay to feel, to love you." She whispers licking his nose quickly.

As she gave him her response, he returned the affection by licking her nose as well. Kind of like, sealing the deal that they would be mates. He couldn't help the purr that started from his chest, even though he had no inkling of doing so. He purred softly for her. For Jyotika.

"I couldn't be happier then. I am glad that I waited for the perfect time to find a mate," He curled his tail around her body gently, "You can love me all you want...and tell me anything. That's what I'm here for, to support and love you any way I can!"

The dark lioness leans heavily in to the blood red male. "I worry about having more children Vanhi, but I think, i think it will be better with you." She closes her eyes and nestles in to is chest enjoying this moment of tenderness, a moment she didn't usually have with anyone, a moment she had never shared with anyone ever.

"Come, lets go home and, seal the deal." she grins playfully pulling away from him and scooping up the leg of meat he had borate for her a wink, closing her blue eye.

He nuzzled her gently, "Don't worry...if cubs happen, then they happen. We'll both care and take care of them, so that they'll have a family." He comforted her, a family....can happen whenever it happens.

At her playfulness, he chuckled softly and followed after her. Oh, he loved her smile and playfulness alright. "I'm right behind you, Jyotika!"

The dark female smiled around the leg of meat breaking in to a run and leading him back towards their den. It would truly be their den now, they were a mated couple, in love, in love. It was a wonderful thought and though she knew that love was the wonderful tingly feeling she felt around Vanhi and that was more than enough for her.

Her tail flickers under his nose as she slinks in to the darkness of the den. Tonight they were mates and what ever happened behind the darkness could happen even if it did produce some little Vanhi's she would be happy. She would be happy because it was with him.
