Pitter, patter. Pitter, patter.

That was the sound that had awoken Hakuna'msiba from her weary little slumber and brought her out to the edge of the den, into the light of the day. It was hauntingly beautiful and bright to the crimson cub as she looked upon the pridal lands she had only ever seen in the still darkness of the night. Look up towards the sky she noticed the mixed grays of the clouds as they rumbled overhead.

It was raining.

Hakuna'msiba had never seen rain before, not even in the dark of night. It was a new experience to her and she stuck her head out of the mouth of the den to feel the experience better. She had to squint hard as she looked at things, not used to the bright light of day shining into her eyes. And she squeaked softly as the light rain falling from above drizzled onto her fur and soaked through, making her shiver.

It was pretty.

Bein'Dagor's ears lifted to the sound of moment, her eyes flung open ever not trusting any sound she did not make. It was her sister, the odd one she wasn't like the other cubs. What was she up to? She rolled over for a moment, trying to ignore her sister. It was far to early for her to wake up for sure. Alas it was no use, she was naturally curious in nature.

Being as quite as she could Bein moved towards her sibling. She stared at her for a moment just waiting to see if she would even notice. Seeing that her sister was paying her not attention Bein leaned closer to her and in a hissing voice she spoke.

"You're gonna catch your death from a cold doing that." Bein more wish to spook her sister then anything. She enjoyed trying to make others jump a bit.

Jr. whipped around, her hackles raised. She was easily spooked and became instantly alert and defensive because of it. When she noticed it was her sister she calmed down quickly and sighed, the normally cheerful and painfully happy cub giving her sister a small pout, "Don't do that Sister. You know it scares me."

Looking at her paws, Jr. noticed that she was soaked from little cubby head to little cubby toes and this gave her a chill. Her sister spoke the truth that sitting out in the rain would cause her to catch cold, but it had just looked so very pretty. She puttered in the mud that was forming from the wet earth and entered the mouth of their den and stood next to her sister with a small smile as she dripped water.

"The daytime is a pretty place," She cooed, obviously taken by what the light of day had offered her, "I wonder why we sleep till its dark."

Bien let out a low laugh careful not to wake anyone. "But that's why I do it sister dear." She grinned baring her teeth slightly.

"Oh you are all wet now...making the den muddy." Bien said with an awful look on her face. She backed away from her sister not liking mud in the very least.

The little demon turned her head towards the daylight and gave a hiss. "Its dreadful if you ask me. Burns the eyes and gives one no chance of sneaking up on another. I think its best we sleep till the night." Bein said with a swift nod of her head.

"I'll make you muddy," Jr. smiled, a little wicked but playful grin appearing across her face. After all, if her sister was allowed to do things that scare or startle her, she is allowed to do things that makes her as equally uncomfortable, wasn't she?

Jr.'s little smile slipped away at the sentiment of the light being a dreadful thing. She knew why her sister said it was no good, because her words were true. You couldn't effectively hunt during the day without being caught, or sneak up on a rival to beat them and the light could be ever so bright. Jr. didn't think her sister understood the beauty that the light held, though. In the darkness you couldn't see all the wonderful colors everything held. Colors were pretty.

"You're probably right, Sister. We should sleep till the night comes, but I can't find sleep," She said, looking back towards the den's entrance at the rain, "It won't let me sleep."
