He was proud. Though he had been regretting taking the cubs from their mother, it was a first for him. He had never ever felt badly about taking cubs. He supposed it was because the red female cub was far too bouncy for his tastes. He hated that she seemed to be more happy than vengeful. He supposed once she grew she would find her inner demon, but he was not the type to sugarcoat anything to his cubs. He really had no true care for them, besides them being a way to show how dedicated he was to his pride. He was so into the demons, that he would bring fresh blood to them and make them into demons themselves. Like himself.
He looked back at the red cub who trailed a bit behind the black one, Crue. He didnt mind Crue, at least he was quiet, but looking at his face, he felt that he was likely plotting against him. Oh well, let him try. Crue couldnt take him if he tried and that was definitely going to stay that way if he had anything to do with it.
"Hurry up." He growled to the two of them.

Marinette looked up at her father and her ears perked excitedly. He wanted her to hurry? She was still upset about leaving her mother. She did not WANT to leave her mother, and her father was proving to be a jerk. So when he growled to hurry up, she went bouncing forward and up beside him in the most cheery fashion she could.
"Are we there yet?! I want to see all the other lions, daddy!!" She had already learned that her father didn't like her, so as a cub that was mad at him, she had decided to do whatever he didn't like more. She would NOT do things she knew were wrong from her mother, but she certainly was not going to change everything to suit the jerk. "Are you happy too, Crue? I'm excited!!"

He looked down at the red female. She looked just like her mother, save for the blood red pelt she carried. He loved the color, and was happy he had produced something the color of blood. But her voice was shrill in his ears. His other female cubs, all watched what they said and when. He supposed when she met her demon sisters, she would learn her place rather quickly. For now he would let her do as she pleased. He looked down at the cheery cub and shook his head. With a father like himself, he wasnt quite sure how she amounted that kind of happiness. She had better tune herself down however, otherwise he knew her life in the Demons would not be a great one. He however, would have a vigil watch on her to make sure she didnt try to escape.. She was his..His..
"We're almost there Marinette." He growled lowly, obviously annoyed. When it came to cubs, he didnt hide his annoyance like he could with the ladies. He didnt really like cubs, so much as they gave him more bloodline and therefore, were something he desired.
"And with your attitude, im not quite positive that you should be happy to meet these lions. These arent like your mother...or her friend." He growled the word friend, speaking of the male that had been around Clerm when he ha dnot been. It raised his hackles and he growled once more. ______________________________________-
Crue looked at his sister, and shook his head. He wasnt excited to meet the lions, as he truly didnt really care for much of anyone. He was a hardened boy, with a temper issue. He clearly, was his fathers son. However his look at his sister wasnt as annoyed as his father had. "I am only excited to go where Ill fit in. Not because of the others there." He said, his voice firm. He was trying to be like his father. He respected him..Idolized him..As his father was the epitome of mean, and that could bring pain if not watched carefully.

"YAY!" Marinette bounced a bit more, her eyes sparkling. It was exciting, meeting new lions. She took the warnings from Roth, but she also thought there had to be someone to look forward to meeting. She couldn't help her positive look on everything, and her cheery nature. And she didn't want to. "Mommy said that if the pride was anything like you, we will need to use our claws and teeth to make a place for ourselves. Mommy's smart." Their mother was practical that was for sure.
Marinette sticks her tongue out at her brother. "We won't fit in, Crue. We will have to make a place for us... it will be a great adventure! Even you like adventures!" She wasn't like either of her parents in attitude, but her attitude was so hard-coded, she would make something good out of even the idea of ripping a bloody path into the pride to make her place. "I can't wait to start!!!" She gives a little growl, which actually sounds convincing even from her and swipes at thin air. The sparkle in her eyes never leaves.

He put a paw to his ear, and then pushed the little female. He hated how loud she was becoming. She would learn however how much he truly hated the sound of childrens voices. "Marinette, stop yelling and shut up." He said, his eyes warning her as he continued walking. His Cheeton would be there to welcome them, or she had better. If she had dissappeared, he would need to find and kill her. He liked his little slave, he hoped it didnt come to that. "If your mother said that then she was indeed smart. Lets hope you got at least half of her intelligence." His breeding with Clermelli had been because of her intelligence, her bravery. Sure she had given in to him, but she had done so with an understanding that it would happen regardless. However if his cubs did the same, he would punish them for being weak.
Crue looked at his sister, and wondered where she got her boisterous personality. Personally, he did not feel like meeting others. He disliked meeting anyone. He preferred his solitude, and his quiet. But it seemed that with his sister, it would not happen. "I like quiet adventures." He replied, looking at her with a nod. He wished he had her enthusiasm, but then again he was learning how father acted. Maybe it wasnt a good idea to be so charismatic.. but then again..Marinette wasnt bad per say.. He hoped for her sake, she toughened up.

Marinette buckled her knees and laid on the ground at the push. She tilted her head to the side, definitely time to stop pushing now. She'd pick up this "fight" again later. She nodded and bounced back up. Crue's quietness around Roth made her a little more inclined to cooperate at the moment. She didn't have the support of the other cub, so she would not fight quite as hard against a force she couldn't take on her own. The compliment to her mother also helped quite a lot. "May I ask a question, father?" She kept her voice happy, but toned it down a lot.
She looked over at Crue and grinned. Fighting wasn't usually quiet. He wasn't likely to get his quiet adventure and she might have to make sure he didn't get himself beaten. She really hoped they had other siblings. She wanted others to play with. She was starting to think play for other children of Roth wouldn't be nice. She really needed time to think, but calculating was already happening in that little head.

Roth glanced back down at Mari and raised an eyebrow. He wasnt sure why she had calmed, but he didnt care why. She had calmed down and that as all he wanted. He couldnt deal with overactive cubs. She needed to learn her place quickly, before his patience was worn out. "What is the question Marinette?" He asked. He never really shortened her name. He had given her a strong name, and he felt that the need for nicknames was pointless. He wasnt the type to care about about shortening names. Long names meant more valuable personalities, or so it seemed.
Crue looked at his sister and shrugged a bit. He knew that he wasnt the softy just because he didnt speak or do much. Inside his head he was a deviant and he felt the need to hurt.. So he knew he was indeed his fathers son. He looked up at his father and stood a bit taller, as if trying to mirror him. Crue was the quiet learner, but as he aged.. He didnt realize that he would start becoming more wild indeed.

Marinette kept calm as she asked her question. Maybe her father was not SO bad after all. "Will you teach us to fight?" It seemed like a good question to her. Maybe her father wouldn't think it so great, but she wanted to know. She did not think learning to fight from him would be easy.
The young lioness stretches and stands up straight, looking up at Roth for the answer to her question. She wanted to get her answer and move onward to the pride. There were siblings to meet and others to nose around. Maybe some new friends to get to!

"Of course you'll learn how to fight. What kind of silly question is that?" He asked, looking down at her and raising an eyebrow. He really hoped she was smarter than what he gave her credit for. He shook his head, and looked forward again.
"We are here. We are home." He said, with a dark grin that lit up his features. "You'd do well to mind yourselves here.. Youre going to really need to learn whos who rather quickly."

Marinette tilted her head to the side and looked around. "I know we will learn to fight, but will you teach us, or will someone else?" To her, this was important to know. Of course if the answer was someone else, she wanted to find out who and hoped they were nicer than Roth. What she could see of the others from here did not look promising. Welcome home?
This place looked more than a bit unwelcoming. She supposed she would get used to it in time, but it made her miss her mother and the trees that she'd been born around. Bright flowers, ferns and trees. They were fond memories that would probably dim in time just like the image of her mother and of her other two siblings.
"We will mind ourselves, father..." Mari would have to watch others for a while and see if anyone was friendly. She was pretty sure any siblings she had from Roth were not going to be. She rather figured that she was an exception rather than the rule for the cubs Roth produced.

"You will be trained like me, and become grand. I will mold you into a fine demon." He said absently, and began walking towards the dens. He needed to find Moricorm to help groom them, was his first thought. But he smiled inwardly.
They were home, and they were his. Sure he had lost two cubs, but bringing two back would please the pride. He stood a bit taller. He was a proud soul.. he was finally getting everything he deserved.
And so.. it began.
