I just thought this would be a cool story to share anyway. So this 12 year old kid found a security hole in Firefox programming and he made a patch for this himself. Mozilla gave him $3,000 as a reward. That's pretty impressive for a kid.

	HelloJohnnyBlade All he gets is $3000? He's lucky he got any kind of cash reward. What's cool is that Mozilla took the time and effort to recognize that someone cared enough to help them with their web browser. Let's hope they are as generous with the next bug fix posted by a kid.

	HelloJohnnyBlade All he gets is $3000? standard really, if you figure that th $3,000 is only for a few lines of code and that there are hundreds of freelancers out there constantly searching for the flaws. Besides, for a kid, that $3,000 now will mean a huge bonus later on in life when he is looking for a job or even applying to a college in 6 years.

	HelloJohnnyBlade All he gets is $3000? When is the last time you made $3,000 in a week? He put in 90 minutes a day for a few days plus however long it took to find the hole. It probably wasn't more than a 40 hour work week. Plus as Freak mentioned Mozilla's $3,000 payout is standard for people who patch Firefox holes and there are a lot of people look for holes to patch.
