Anyone have something they're kind of known for saying?
Or maybe just something they say often?

(I'm trying to help bring some life back, bear with me)

For example, phrases my friends seem to associate with me
"I'm diggin' it"
and
"Ya dig?"
(Reason I thought of this thread)
Because my roommate asked if I could stop saying "Ya dig" because for whatever reason it just makes her shudder
(Probably because I say it much in the fashion of a sleazy guy in a bar)
But "I'm diggin' it" doesn't bug her.

So do you have anything like that?
(Maybe I'm the only one that spews random things like that often enough for them to become part of my normal speech.)

Also, bonus!
I was gone from the guild for a while hoping that when I came back there'd be more activity.
But I was only slightly right.
So I'll camwhore in an attempt to bring people back.

Tell me a phrase you want me to say on camera.
Be they other languages or popular movie quotes.
My dignity is at stake here, guys.
If it'll get more people posting I'll say anything you guys tell me to.
(Only thing I probably wouldn't say is the n-word but any other cursing is whatever.)

The only thing my best friend's girlfriend seems to remember about me is that I used to say "That's not gay!" with a shrug when two of my friends would do something that could be viewed as gay. I haven't said it since Junior year of high school.

Speaking of high school, I also used to say "It makes no difference to me!" when I didn't care about something in Senior year because of Elite Beat Agents.

In a spot to put a quote on a website, I always put "Trust me! I know what I'm doing!" Surprisingly enough, I didn't use that as my senior quote. I stole it, by the way.

Finally, whenever my best friend says something boring, I reply with "I bought a new heat lamp for my turtle!" The explanation for this would be boring.

You know?
Mh-hmm...
What?
Did'ja say something?

My words. Use them daily. lol XD
Mainly cause I tend to space out a lot and completely ignore everything around me.

You know... well, that phrase I just use a lot. No real specifics on that one. XD

Dornkus:
If you didn't use that then what did you use for your senior quote?
I have never seen that show either, somehow I feel like it's something I should have watched at least once as a kid but I've never seen it at all.
Is the turtle explanation an inside joke of some kind?

Black:
Haha, nice.
I do that too but I pretend I knew what they were saying when I do come back to the conversation.
It's cool if you don't have anything specific.
(I was more curious how many people had "phrases" because among my friends it seems mostly to be just me.)

If you didn't use that then what did you use for your senior quote?

"If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed."
-Albert Einstein

Is the turtle explanation an inside joke of some kind?

Yep.

That's a good quote.
I don't blame you for picking that over "Trust me, I know what I'm doing"

I'm kind of sad we didn't have senior quotes at my school.

A boring explanation?
Inside joke explanations are usually awkwardly funny.
Unless it's one of those "you had to be there" moments
I understand if it is.

That quote is pretty much my view on life. I try to do good things without expecting any kind of reward.

Of course, sometimes it feels like I'm punished despite the fact that I do good deeds. Karma is a major b***h to me.

If I expected a reward, I would have quit doing good deeds a long time ago.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you really want to know about the inside joke, I'll tell you.

My friend told me that this conversation happened at his job:

*Awkward Silence*
Him " . . . I bought a new heat lamp for my turtle today."
Co-worker: "Wow! That is the most boring story that anyone has ever told!"

And that's pretty much it. I like to bug him about it. I wasn't even there.

I told you it was boring.

Sounds like one of my good friends.
He must have pissed someone off because he has the worst luck.
Somehow I have generally good luck so we even each other out though.

It's a good motto to live by though

---

That is a pretty boring story.
It amused me but I'm amused by everything
It'd be good for breaking up awkward silences though.
Next awkward silence I'm sitting in I'm going to say that.

I tend to be the one who CAUSES the awkward silences.
My dormies and I decided I was so gay that I couldn't walk or talk straight at all. I tend to trip over my own words and my own feet all the time.
I fail at life. =D

Yet, I have good luck by some miracle.
Sure, my bus got lost in the middle of Lexington trying to turn around, making us wait FIVE DAGGONE HOURS till the university and city police found him, and my one busdriver managed to wreck coming out of the hospital, *she hit a pole* but I've never had to deal with a major illness, no wrecks (yet, but that's mainly cause other people have been driving).
So yeah, some sucky luck, but on the whole, I'm doing good.

Haha, nice.
I had a HUUUUGE awkward silence the other night.
The only thing coming to mind were things that would make me laugh
I was trying so hard not to laugh for however long it was

Sounds like your dormies have more fun than my roommate and I so it's all cool
My roommate and I just sit on our laptops all day, haha

Wow, that's insane.
That's good that you're alright.

Wouldn't you know the day she hit a pole, I got sick and had to miss the bus? XD
It was wild.

Oh, but this one time: bus died right on top of some traintracks. And our dumb red-head lady driver REFUSED to let us get off the bus!!! We had to wait till another bus came and picked us up.

We were ready to break out the back door, obviously. So glad she got fired... We have a lot of weird busdrivers, but she was just a b****.

They were awesome at Berea, but the roomie that I actually shared a room with barely talked to me.

Here at Lee's, my hometown college, I don't live in the dorm, but I've met a ton of people who will make you laugh your butt off. Our lounge has one of those... god, what are they? Ice hockey tables, I think.
I'M GOING SENILE. D=

Anyway, they have matches all the time down there. They spend about five bucks a day on that thing. *50 cents per person per game*

We have a foosball table, too, as well as a pinball machine and one of those old Pac-Man arcade machines. And someone keeps bringing their XBox or PS3 and starts playing shooting games.

Oh wow, that sounds like a fun day.

Oh my god, that's scary though.
I would have just barged out.
I'm glad she got fired too, she sounds crazy.

My roommate and I have fun because we were friends from high school
But we have fun quietly.

Oh, air hockey?
YOU'RE NOT OLD.
YOU CAN DO IT.
I think we have a lounge thing
We have pool and air hockey and other arcade games.
I've never gone though so I don't know how much they are.
Here you can rent games in the dorm so I don't think people bring their own often

Chic was pyscho. She was an adopted parent, too, and not one of those that orphans want to be sent to. She cussed out her kid on the bus one time. Something about hair, it was ridiculous. We took up for her, as she had become one of our closest friends, and the psycho tried to get us kicked off the bus, claiming we had attacked her. *didn't even touch her*
So glad she got fired. >XD

I wish we were more quiet. It's mainly this one girl who hollars A LOT. She's awesome though so we don't mind. I'll just lose my hearing because of it. XD Freaked out a couple of guys in the group after pretending she was cheating on us with another group of friends. It was funny:

Me: How did you know about so-and-so going on?
Loud Friend: Oh, I was just talking to some of my friends who don't go here and they told me.
Me: ...You mean you've been cheating on us with other people???
The Guys: *suddenly get interested and look away from their laptops* XD

I DON'T THINK I CAN. I FEEL MY BRAIN CELLS DYING OFF WITH EACH SECOND PASSING!!!!!!

Air Hockey, that sounds right. XD
We're free to bring just about anything dealing with games to the lounge. I bring my DS all the time.
