I can't speak for Islam, but I can speak for some conservative Christians I have met. Sadly those I have met do not see science as an important subject because they think it "detracts" from the holiness of the subject material. I say not the case. Just because science can explain something, doesn't mean its any less a miracle. Some atheists try to claim the lack of a god by citing the big bang theory, but the problem here is that the energy and matter had to come from somewhere. As stated by Einstein, matter can neither be created nor destroyed, and thus proving the existence of God/Allah (depending on your religion).

I am saddened by so many accusations that Muslims are deniers of science, when the great Qu'ran is so full of enlightened ideas.
