I'm turning 21 in about two weeks. Yaaaay. Also redeploying, which is more yay. Anyway, like any less-unbalanced member of this guild, I've been making my calls, and I've got myself a Sig P226 reserved and waiting for me the day I turn.

Excellent. My first handgun bought might be a Ruger LCR on my 21st birthday. Then I'm thinking some type of 1911.

"Aux grands maux les grands remèdes."

A .45 Glock with tactical under-rail with a tactical knife mount. It's awesome.

that knife thing is retarded. sorry but I just dont see how it would give me an advantage.
I dont even think they make a holster for that.

and if you have a pistol drawn why the hell do you need a knife?

If im going to carry a pistol and a knife im going to keep them separated... period

The pistol bayonet isn't unreasonable. It has advantages over an unused rail. It's just not very practical.

the only way I can see of carrying a pistol with a bayo is in a custom holster for muzzle down shoulder carry or OWB with a very loose outer garment.

the thing adds length also.
I'd rather for ease of carry and maneuverability's sake not to have my pistol as long as a mk23.

best option in my mind. keep the pistol the way it is. more options for carry.

and keep a knife handy and separated

because if your carry weapon should ever be knocked away as a perp is running up on you when you attempt to draw, then you'll actually have something to fall back on.

The problem is that it's basically only useable for stabbing. And since you're already holding it with your arms locked out, can't really stab.

this is my answer to the pistol bayonet.

why stab with a knife when you can already stab with bullets?
