The boss lady was out today like she always had. After recent events.. she was rather quiet. Contemplating her next moves.. and yet. Her mate and her finally seemed to be on even grown. They were ALMOST falling in love for one another!? But that seemed irrelevant when she was taking her walk. Basically she was scoping out the pride's members and hearing what the entertainers had to say. They always loved to gossip with the Boss Lady to gain good graces and rank missions.. But today she wanted to clear her head before she went to go to where the noisy entertainers were. Their den with their 'sisters' always was so lively.
Nyoka remembered that lifestyle at one time. Laughing and one big, tight sisterly love. Now. She was above that and the boss of them all. With that. She knew she was pretty much lounging at the same time. Her walk passed the large rock garden where giant masses of rock were scattered about for Cheetah's to lay upon. The royals. That was JUST what she was.. "Ahh.." She smiled.. as she arrived and hopped on top of a rock with grace and ease. Showing just how much strength in muscle she had hidden. Lowering herself. Usually she was with her right hand or with her mate. But today.. She was alone. Well.. she was suppose to be alone. As she watched the pride's workings. The grunts giving a far away bow as they then went off with their work.
"My pride." She stated. Relieved and calmed.. Her head up and chest slightly puffed out. She knew how to use her body to represent her. Alluring and evenly balanced. Her tail softly playing at the rocky dirt with speckled grass patches.. Eyeing everything yet looking as though she were just lazing around.

Tarou had no time for lying around. While Nyoka lounged near by, each mutually unaware of the other, Tarou gracefully leapt from stone to stone, playing his favorite game by himself. The objective was to leap from stone to stone as fast as possible without missing (the ground was a bottomless pit; if you fell, you died). At first he fell a lot, made miscalculations, but after weeks of practice he was almost an expert. Although the game was not his idea, Tarou was now its master.
The smooth stone seemed to move under his feet. As he landed, he flexed his claws and grappled the stone, bringing it under his will. Tail flying through the air, guiding him like a bird's wing, he made a sharp turn and leapt to the next stone as something blue rose out of the corner of his eye. Nyoka!
Tarou touched down and hopped off the stone. He quickly turned to Nyoka and bowed his head. "Good morning, Boss Lady!" he panted. She couldn't have been there long, he would have noticed her sooner, but he wanted to make up for not greeting her sooner.

She was just lounging.. and watching.. She really didn't know the cub was there at all and usually she was very very sure of her surroundings. This one must have blended quite well.. Which was good. As she watched with calming eyes.. she felt something. Then slowly turned her head, as though she were not surprised at all. "....Little one." She announced his presence. Then laid her eyes upon him like a thin layered veil of inspection. "And you must be?" As though unknown to her of his parents and his linage. But Nyoka is not dumb.
Her green eyes looking him up and down. "One with quite the manners must be someone important.. Or know who is at least." A soft smile to the boy, whom was barely even a thought in her mind.. but now was just a company. Mana's child she presumed. With the look of his markings.. and that very very delicate way of moving along with his manners. It seems... that the nanny was teaching them well.
"Come closer dear. Let me see you."

"Yes, m'am." Tarou stepped forward and stood at the foot of Nyoka's throne. This was the first time he spoke with the Boss Lady or saw her up close. He looked up at her but hesitated to meet her eyes, for though he respected her he also feared her.
Although his colors were not as brilliant as others in his family he was a handsome cub with strong legs and a soft, shiny coat. He seemed to have naturally good posture. In fact he watched the older members of the pride and tried to mimic them. For as long as he could remember, he had the sense that grown-ups held all the power in this pride. If he wanted to be important he should surely act like a grown-up.
"I am Tarou, son of Mana." He would not mention his mother. He only knew her name, Tesanya, and she was unimportant to him.

When he came up with that posture, it reminded her of Mana when he hurt his paw and she aided and took care of him. In return, he became apart of her in ways others wouldn't understand. Right hand. Her tail coiling and then uncoiling as she observed him and every aspect.. She wanted to be sure that what this cub was saying was right.
Tarou, son of Mana. It almost seemed cute the way he sounded grown up. A smirk crept at the edges of her maw. Looking him over then lowering her head slight to meet his eyes.. he didn't look straight in to the sepents eyes. How smart of him in some ways, while in others it looked as though he were scared. Something Mana wasn't like a bit but he was just a cub. What could she really expect.
He would learn. This one at least had the looks right.
"Son of Mana~ My right hand I'm sure they are one in the same." A humble smile replaced the smirk.. "You are quite the looker.." Slowly sliding off her rock and in front of him. "Would you like to take a walk with me, around the pride? For a bit of scouting?" Lowering her ears as if she were in safety and taking a few steps away... To lead him to join her.
Of course it was all just to see him in action, test him and know him. If he were worthy she would pardon him for being the son of a rogue..

She smiled at him. Though he was young, Tarou knew that smiles could have mixed meanings. A smile might be coy, devious, amused or pleased. Sometimes smiles were friendly. Tarou didn't know what to think of Nyota's smile. His gut told him to be cautious around her. Respect the Boss Lady.
Tarou felt his cheeks flush when she called him handsome. He put a lot of effort into looking and behaving his best, just the way his nanny taught him. When she asked him to come with her 'for a bit of scouting' his little heart thudded in his chest. He wasn't sure why, but he had a strong feeling something important was about to happen. His voice shook faintly, not entirely with fear. Getting special attention from the Boss Lady was extremely exciting. "Thank you, Boss Lady. I'd love to!" he exclaimed and bounded to her side.

"Haha.. thats right. Its a very important job. Having an extra pair of eyes will help an old cheetah like myself~" Of course she was leading him in to complimenting her.. She was rather vain like that. Linje did the same thing to her, and like a good 'woman' she fed him his ego with a silver spoon.. now others had to do it to her. She didn't have to sugar coat what she felt disgusted with. Even if these cubs were a rogue's. She could still at least say that- they looked something of their father. So they weren't THAT disgusting. Also. This little brown cub was just charming~ and handsome.
Definitely what could have been his father as a cub. Her tail padding from each side in a very slow swing like manner. "Now.. Tarou.... has the nanny been giving you good pointers on that posture? Or has your father taught you that.. ?." Looking at him slightly before looking back up and walking very slow and in pace so that the cub wouldn't have to jump to catch up. "Have they taught you how to scout yet? Fight? Oh wait.. your still a cub~ I forget with how you walk.. you can tell a lot about another by just watching how they walk~" As in giving him the chance to fall~ Giving him knowledge and teaching him well. After all.. if she wanted them to be as she wanted. She needed to have SOME influence in their upbringing.

Tarou nodded to show he understood. Even if he hadn't understood he would have still nodded, for he knew that adults paid more attention to cubs who looked like they knew what was going on. Looking smart paid off. Unfortunately, he wasn't sly enough yet to notice Nyoka's opening. He was still a student in the art of charm.
"Yes, Boss Lady. My father teaches me, too." His nanny taught him proper manners while his father served as more of an inspiration. Mana taught him practical things but never seemed enthusiastic about their spending time together. This bothered Tarou, so he did his best to follow Mana's words carefully and imitate him in every way in the hope that one day he would earn his father's praise. There was a kind of desperation in their relationship that only Tarou seemed aware of, though he kept his feelings to himself, for he could not stand the thought of appearing weak.
Her next question caused him to flatten his ears in embarrassment. "You're still a cub" hurt the most. If being a cub excused him from these lessons, why would she have brought them up in the first place? Tarou might not have phrased the question to himself in that way but he clearly felt that he was being marginalized because of his age. What good was being a cub anyway? Tarou wanted to grow up now.
At least her compliment softened the blow. He looked at his feet, then slowly back up to Nyoka. "They talk about it sometimes but they don't teach me anything. I want to learn. When I grow up, I want to be fighter currency and go on missions!"

Nope. He was still too young and she shook her head with the thought of one day hearing from him what she heard from his father and other males. By his time- she hoped to still have a figure after all. Taking up her paw, drawing it in as she turned to look at him. Then set it down as she looked ahead, nodding to herself but it was directed at him. "Right dear. Thats good your father is taking responsibility of raising you all right." Giving a shrug at the thought of the nanny may not teaching them what they needed. She only tried to see if she could handle such precious cubs.
Not much she could say for her own since she sent them away. One for GOOD. A smirk. But when she turned again to see him- there was a turn of his emotions.. he didn't know how to clear them yet and that would be another training but slowly.. did she stop and looked down to him. Lowering her head and giving him an encouraging nudge. "Well I can teach you that. Your sister caught on really quick and you will too. You all will. Hopefully." Nodding. Then to see him prop up she gave a soft laugh.. Gentile to say the least.
"Dear~" She started.. and softly touched his chin with her paw and circled to his head while pushing his Mohawk down. "Thats a big dream..I like big dreamers- but for that rank. You must be very very good- so lots and lots of learning and practice." Turning now to follow up a path and started at almost the same place as where she taught Kata. Except- she was accompanied by Satomei and Nanashi.. and she couldn't fully teach her. Now with him and not seeing much of anyone around. She could now take some time to teach him. "Scouts are important. They need to read others well- and examine each signal another gives off. They learn from watching others." Hoping up in to a ledge and looking down. "Come on."
Then turned and started to where the top of the crater. It was the perfect place to teach cubs how to walk in posture- and well. Scare the hell out of them. Either sink or swim. Literately. There was such a small space that it showed how dangerous it really was when you looked down. "This will also help your walk as well. The perfect place~" She chimed to him. With one false move and you could fall to your death.

When she touched him he felt a chill run under his fur. "I'm a good learner!" Tarou boasted eagerly. He wanted nothing except to please her.
As they walked Tarou kept close to Nyoka's front paw. His over-sized ears captured her every word and punctuated every sentence with an understanding nod. He learned quickly from example and knew how to study others, the makings of an excellent scout, however, Tarou set his sights much higher.
The incline grew steeper and Tarou's short legs began to ache. Though he pushed himself on he fell a few steps behind Nyoka before they reached the ridge. Using the last of his strength, he lept up and threw his paws over the edge, pulling himself up with a grunt. Standing behind her, he quickly caught his breath and peered over the side of the dizzying ridge.

When he pounced to get up upon the ledge. Her ear twitched as she turned to walk gracefully to the next large ledge. A thicker one that can house about two cheetahs if they stick close together. She took Dysi first cub on this same ledge... and hung her over the side with her tail. Pretty much showing the cub from early, who held her life in her paws but this was out of care and love. One had to understand the many ways to gain respect. That was one- and Vailea came out beautiful at that. Learnt to deal with various situations and soa.
"Keep your back straight and don't look down. Others forget that- and if you look down.. you'll understand why." Her paws softly touching the carter's walls. Since she walked so much on them- she learnt to deal with the weight and feeling for soft spots that may cause her to fall. "Every step- can cost you your life. This is a fine way in showing off your skills in walking. Then she jumped on to the thicker side; which sorta looked like a platform that fit two cheetahs comfortably. Then she turned and rose her body to look like a regal look.
Her tail curved.. But she knew that if the cub were to fall- she were to save it even if it costed her life. But she couldn't let him see that- she had to let him do this on his own. She watched him- and every step he took... Ears forward.. One must teach cub also- what danger may be.. they had to learn the hard way.. but if the easy way always came to them- they would break under the backbone of the pride. She wanted to see how much this cub trusted her- and if his trust was ensured. "You do trust in me- correct?"
