So Ruler of Antarctica decided to leave her homeland for a bit and visit her friends in Gaia. Through a journey that was neither perilous or exciting, she wound up smack in the middle of another Gaia Christmas battle. "You think someone would just throw a huge feast with a secret santa gift exchange by now. Guess I have something to keep me occupied till Christmas though," she said as she strolled through town where lazy bums were shopping and prize seekers were searching for weapons. Antica (for that is her true name for now) decided to visit her property out in the towns. As she walked through an empty span of snow, what should appear but a grunny. "Oh, I might as well attack since it's just sitting here," and out she pulled her whip of ice. "Bring it, you Christmas color themed bunny." And the fight began.

"Wow. I really haven't been practicing down south as much as I should. See ya gunny. I need to go see if I left any food out since last spring. Bye," and with that Antica strolled away leaving a confused looking gunny sunk up to its eyeballs in the snow. Antica found her house after having to look at every single nameplate of the six houses in her area. She got her key out of her bag and opened the door. What greeted her was the smell of stale air coming from a pitch black room. "Seems I didn't leave any food out but I did manage to put out a mini christmas tree. As to how that plant by the window survived, I have no idea. Maybe it mutated. Better keep a watch on that. I know there's food somewhere. Ah! In the secret stash underneath the bed in another dimension. Got to love dimensional rifts. Great for keeping fresh food," with that Antica looked at her choices: pancakes, lobster, sundae, loaves of bread, or flan. The answer was really no choice at all. Antica grabbed the loaves of bread and sat down to a meal of delicious carbs, the food of energy. Then leaving some for later, Antica promptly climbed into bed, pulled the sheets up, and fell asleep. [Which is where I am bound myself. Goodnight everyone] Attacks: 1 Failed Remaining: 1 for 12/7/10

Antica woke up from her sleep. It had only lasted slightly less than two days. "Guess I slept too long this winter (summer in Gaia). Means I need to get up and move. I can't even sleep for a week anymore. Time for some exercise," with that she got out of bed. No springing for this girl, who believed every second spent in bed was heaven, no matter the position. ninja After eating the rest of her bread, Antica headed outside into the night. An owl greeted her outside the door to her house with a whoo. "Why my name is Antica, Mr. Owl. And you?" The owl merrily replied with another whoo. "Antica. An-ti-ca." All she got was one last whoo before the owl flew away. In disgust Antica headed toward the pond. When she got there, the pond was completed iced over. "Aw. It reminds me of home," but out from behind the snow stand popped a furry green creature. Another gunny.

"So there you are. You thought you could escape me? The first try was just a warm-up. Now we will go for real," Antica said as she pulled a soccer ball out of her backpack. She set it carefully on the snowy ground. The grunny looked at the ball, then at Antica. Their eyes met. They both knew something was about to go down, but the winner was still up in the air. Both tensed in anticipation. Seconds ticked by like hours as the two held themselves in a stalemate, just waiting for the other to show some sign of weakness.

The grunny's stomach then did a silly thing. It growled with hunger. The grunny was so surprised that it looked for the sound of a second attacker, distracting itself from the stalemate with Antica and leaving an opening for attack. Antica, who recognized the sound from when she used to go hungry when the food had grown scarce down south, stayed focused and saw the moment of the grunny's weakness. She quietly drew her leg back, and then with a mighty yell kicked the soccer ball straight at the grunny with all her mite. By some shining goddess of luck, or maybe just skill but most likely not, the ball slammed the grunny right in the kisser. "Ha! Bet that one hurt, and you thought I couldn't do anything with a soccer ball. Serves you right. Yeah!" Antica exclaimed with a self cheering jump.

The grunny got up and shook the snow from his body. He threw a death glare at Antica, cutting the life from her self cheering jump to a definite standstill. The grunny took a look at the soccer ball lying right next to it. With a quick snapping motion, the gunny took a big bite out of the soccer ball's rubber. The ball immediately deflated, and the grunny made short work of it. After finishing the ball, the grunny spied Antica with her mouth hanging open. Anyone looking would swear the grunny smirked when it saw Antica's reaction. The grunny took a determined step forward towards Antica. "Um...sorry. Did I say to much earlier? I didn't mean it. Really! I just got too into the moment," she stammered, all the while the grunny was taking more and more steps toward her. "Ah...so what's your name? You look Christmasy. Um, Holly? Joy? Peace? Claire from the Nutcracker? Maybe a guy name? Uh, uh, Nick?" and the grunny hesitated on the last name but then continued on. "Your name's Nick! Wow. What a coincidence, or someone's ironic sense of humor (*wink*). Your name is the same first name as Santa Claus," with this last comment Nick the grunny snarled and launched himself at Antica. Antica, thinking that there was no way a creature the size of a bunny could knock her down, stood her ground. Boy was she wrong. As the grunny ran into her, a wall of force sent her flying across the ground until she came to a stop in a pile of snow five feet away. Antica dug her way out of the snow, but looking up she saw Nick the grunny preparing for another attack. Antica scrambled to get up, but kept slipping. Nick bunched his muscles and with a flick of snow shot at Antica like practically any kind of unhealthy food in a room full of just guys. Antica, leaving everything up to instincts jumped as much as she could to the side. It was enough. Nick the grunny passed mere centimeters from her face before he sailed by and landed deep into the pile of snow that Antica had landed in just moments earlier. Antica regained her feet, and not looking behind her ran as fast as she could to the north of the frozen pond, leaving Nick the grunny to dig his own way out of the snow.
