I shall fight...! Tier 2!

Having missed a day, Bela feared she might be terribly behind, but she was determined to make up for it with some good attacks today. She only needed to focus, remember her strategies, and hit as hard as she could!

Fire had worked before, so this time she came with matches along with her staff and lantern.

Cautiously she approached the place the Lab Tech called home. It wasn't a very pleasant place; small, dank, and dismal. She felt almost as if she was entering one if its labs, falling into a trap, and going to end up as a lab experiment. She shuddered and gripped her staff tight. As she did, a noise to her right scared her and she whirled around. The Lab Tech had shuffled into sight, and it wasn't happy to see her. It still had burn marks on its clothes and Bela swore to add as many more scorch marks as she could.

The Lab Tech shuffled toward Bela in a quick zombie like fashion and she hurriedly held up her matches. Lighting them within her lantern, she threw them, ninja-star like, at the shuffling zombie, erm, Lab Tech.

To Bela's disappointment, the matches missed the Lab Tech; all but one that merely fell upon the Lab Tech's boots and fizzled out.

Note to self: Matches don't work when thrown.

The Lab Tech was still shuffling forward, so Bela had to dive behind a rock to escape it's grip. The Lab Tech seemed confused, and shuffled around looking for where she had gone. She peeked her head above the rock, making eye contact with the Lab Tech. Sure enough, it began to grin and shuffle her way. She waited until it was close enough, and then BAM! She jumped out from behind her rock and slammed that open lantern into him.

Bela expected to see him catch fire like last time but...to her astonishment the fire inside the lantern was put out! The Lab Tech laughed at her and reached a grubby hand to latch onto her arm.

It was then that Bela felt something. His hand was not only grubby and disgusting but...it was damp...

She looked up at the Lab Tech in horror. He had drenched himself in water! That's why he wasn't catching fire! So these things were smarter than they looked. Well, she guessed they'd have to be, if they did experiments and stuff.

The Lab Tech began to pull at Bela's arm, and she let out an ear piercing scream. She hit the Lab Tech over the head with the lantern again, causing him to loose his grip; not only for the blow to the head, but also to cover his hurt eardrums. Sensitive ears? Hmm...

Bela didn't ponder that for too long however, as soon as she was released from the grip of the horrible Lab Tech she ran for it. It was an unsuccessful day, but she'd be back tomorrow.

Two days of no progress. Bela was ready to kick some Lab Tech butt.

She gritted her teeth as she approached the Lab Tech lair this time, thinking to herself, "Today I'm gonna show that Lab Tech who is boss..." She'd brought a freaking blow torch with her this time. Where had she gotten it you might think? Lets just say, she knows some people.

She had the blow torch hidden, strapped to her back, and she was holding her staff like always. She thought it a good idea to throw her opponent off; surprise attacks, they had worked before.

Sure enough, that evil little Lab Tech saw her coming, staff in hand, and shuffled towards her with it's smirky, little, grimy, ugly, grin on it's face.

As soon as the Lab Tech was close enough, she pulled out the blow torch from it's secure strap and fired it up. With a yell, she hoped to exterminate that b***h erm Lab Tech.

It was a no go... the Lab Tech seemed to have built up an immunity to fire...

"Again!?" Bela screamed in anger. "Ugggghhh!!!" She yelled even louder this time, catching the Lab Tech off guard, and instead of torching it with the blow torch, she proceeded to beat the Lab Tech over the head with it.

The Lab Tech, after recovering from shock, took Bela's blow torch and broke it in half...

Crying tears of anger and failure, Bela slinked away back to her home to come up with another plan for tomorrow...
