I find this rather weird but whenever I go shopping, I just have to stop by every bookshop I pass- and usually find a good book to buy! I find more interest in book shopping than clothes shopping.

Me too! Clothes shopping is stressful - bookstores are fun smile
Haha, I live by Borders, and My mom got a membership there.. DISCOUNTS! WOOT! I could spend hours in a book shop. If I could live in Barnes and Noble in the Harmar mall, I would.razz

I love the notebook section. Calendars, notebooks, stationary, etc. Books are great too, but I love blank pages! smile
Clothes shopping is stressful, I agree. I have to be at least verbally pushed away from book stores, pet stores and game shops. Granted, it is only the book store that I'd be willing to buy something if not stopped.

Same here. Its a terrible habit. We would go to Sydney every year and spend at least an hour at the Borders Book store. Just cause me and my sis are book fanatics.
If left undisturbed I could stay in a book store all day. My brothers always get bored and pull me out then go and want to spend hours in a video game store.

Same here, books always trump clothes.
I find I'm much more prone to spend hours around used book stores than Border or Barnes & Nobel - those I can get in and out of quick because the books are so expensive there's usually no way I'm getting more than one.
But in used book stores the books are usually a dollar or five so I come out with a stack, and it's more fun because I never know what I'm going to find!
Yup, same here mrgreen Like a kid in a candy store! If I'm shopping with friends or family and a bookstore's in sight, they're not shy of using blunt force and drag me by the hairs away eek

our old local bookstore had a 3 for 1 exchange,
bring in 3 old books and get one new one, free!
those sly devils,
i never walked out with fewer volumes than i had brought in...

When I go shopping I always have to go to the bookstore, whether my parents or my friends like it or not. Of course, it's better when I'm on my own, I can spend hours on end in there. ;D
I don't know about the cloths shopping... but I do love the book stores. I have this old second hand book store with towering book shelfs, 15 feet up in the air. You need a ladder to get to them, and its full of old books too!
O my now I need to go. Tehehe!

our library had a big event last weeked, they sold tons of books they no longer wanted, plus lots of food, and there were vendors of everything from Native American "dream catchers" to blown glass swans to handwoven scarves.
