Easy to get into, too. I think they only require the basic SAT.

A lot of Chinese exchange students come here to study abroad, so it's a pretty good school.

I've been taking classes there for almost two years for a dual credit program.

But, I'm not going to live on or around campus, so that eliminates housing

Actually, it's only 1000-2000 a semester for three or four classes, books and all.

That is insanely cheap. But can't you apply for financial aid or scholarships? That's how Main funded her 50k a year school.

Yeah, I'm applying for financial help too. So far, I might get the Pell grant (5k a year/semester).

Cost all depends on what classes you take, though.

A four year, private college including room and board and books? You know, most four year schools are in the 30-40k range.

I always feel inferior, though, to most of the kids leaving to go to a different college.

Even the ones leaving for a different A&M a bit more north, or University of Texas. Mostly because they act like the one here is full of failure, and it isn't. ._.

I know some people who want to get into an Ivy League school, and they're complete airheads. They won't accept anything less.

Main: A recent Pew Study revealed that children who go to Ivy League schools are not, by default, inherently better; nor do they end up with better jobs. What matters is what you learn and the networking you do. Certainly, certain schools have great credentials, but there is more to that on a resume. Saying you went to (school a) does not mean as much as (school b+ work+ extracurriculars). If you REALLY want help on this I can give you a bunch of advice having graduated from a four year accredited college.

I don't have insanely high aspirations in life. If I can get a job where I do something I'm decent at for pay that isn't minimum wage, I'm fine.

I'll figure things out as I go along. I don't even know what to major in right now.

I changed majors my sophomore year. Most people change around, some as late as junior year. My sister entered her college and changed majors after one semester. I think my brother changed halfway through is sophomore year too.
