Tamin'naur was bored. There was no one to play with and his father was busy so he couldn't even learn to fight from him. To have nothing to do was something Tamin wasn't really familiar with. The young cub could always find someone to play with, teach him, or otherwise entertain him. To make things short he was spoiled.

As a thought occurred to him a sneaky little smile filled his face. If he could pull it off he knew he wouldn't be bored anymore. The hot springs were mainly used for various rituals and for priests and pride leaders to commune with the gods, at least the one closest to the top. But that one wasn't what Tamin was interested in, he wanted to play in the lower ones where the water is cooler but still warm. There was no real reason he couldn't play in them just that he never had before.

Raav sighed stretching and walking along, in no particular direction just walking and keeping to himself. He wanted to be away from the idiots he was constantly surrounded by. Those who thought themselves so high and might yet were speckled, even if ever so slightly by light colors. Gods forbid, even white. It made him extremely peeved, feeling he was superior even to some of his siblings because his fur was proper, shades of red and black. He even sported golden eyes. It was a shame. He shook his head as his demon bristled far to prideful for its own good.

Tamin slipped out and past the dens and into the jungle before heading towards the preiest's dens and the hotsprings. His tail twitching as he tried to move slowly and cautiously after all he might as well practice moving quietly. Even though Tamin was a spoiled little lion he did have high hopes of being one of the best demons and even being aloud out of the pride's lands to search for other demons. His demon, or what he considered his demon, burbled happily in his chest. To see the world and play in ever piece of water, maybe even drown some things, was what it wanted to do as well. But first the hotsprings. Tamin knew he was getting close since the air felt heavier and damper.

Raav watched as a demon cub, an oddly colored demon cub slunk by headed for the hotsprings. The place he was sure they were not suppose to go. Raav frowned deeply and headed off behind the cub, mumbling to himself about disobedience and idiocy. He edged closer and closer to the cub as quickly as possible not wanting to be scene as he came upon him. He had grown quiet and as soon as he thought he was close enough to scare him good he said in his most imposing voice, "what do you think you are doing?"

Tamin had no clue he was being followed so when a voice spoke behind him the young cub nearly jumped out of his fur. He spun as fast as he could and when he saw a male just a bit older then him Tamin stood up straight. Being the proud cub that he was he wasn't about to admit to doing something he shouldn't nor would he admit to being surprised. "I'm not doing anything that concerns you." He added a bit of a attitude there at the end just because he could, after all he was Tamin'naur, son of Nyota'Angavu.

Naav nearly laughed at the stupids cub reaction, but frowned at his recovery. It seemed the cub had a back bone, but Raav simply raised an eyebrow to the cub. "Is that so," he said trying to sound as threatening a possible in a body that was only just bigger than the other's. Raav showed off his sharp cub-like teeth ready to have a bit of fun with the white maned cub. Raav's demon was absolutely gleeful wanted to dye the little mane red, but Raav knew that was most certainly not allow. "You should be more respectful to you elders cub. Your superiors," he growled out still managing to sound hawty.

"Yeah, that is so." The other cub looked like he was wanting a fight and never one to disappoint Tamin was willing to oblige him. Mimicking the other male Tamin grinned his evil little grin, showing his sharp teeth as well. "I dont see anyone around here I should be respectful of least of all you." Being the smart a** he was Tamin faked a yawn and casually covered his mouth with his paw before replacing it on the ground. His demon all but begged for them to fight this arrogant little snot . "Now if we are done here I should be on my way. I'm sure your superiors are waiting as well."

Raav was growing angrier by the second at the cubs arrogant words and wanting very badly to take his down, way down. Raav was better than him and this cub need to know it. Raav's growl deepened in warning as the cub said he did not need to respect him. His demon did not at all seem to like the thought and tried to inch it way up, but Raav was still a cub, aware of his demon, but not connected not really.

The cubs last words made Raav see red, feeling as thought the other cub was mocking him, which of course he was. Raav jumped at him intending to knock him to the ground, claws and teeth bared in anger.

Tamin was expecting a reaction but wasn't quite expecting the older cub to jump him, or try to. He knew that if he got caught under the bigger lion he wouldn't get out without being scratched up so in a, not entirely bright, move Tamin jumped at the cub. Like his opponents intention he hoped to knock him down but he also figured that if that didn't happen at least he wasn't running like a frightened rabbit.

It was Raav turn to be surprised. The cub had jumped right at them, which of course could only end one way, with the pair colliding rather painfully. Raav groaned at the short burst of pain, but it did nothing to quiet his anger or lesson his resolve, so he pushed against the other cub, right paw flailing trying to tear a chunk out of the idiot.

Tamin silently admitted to his mistake, a collision wasn't really something he expected. With a soft growl at the pain he too tried to de-tangle himself from the snot. When the other lion's right paw grazed his shoulder and Tamin felt the sting of claws he gave a cub like roar. There was nothing that ticked him off more then having first blood drawn against him. He shoved at the older lion with his back paws putting as much as his straight behind it as leverage would allow. His front paws were not idle either, he did his best to at least return the favor of his claws feeling blood.

Raav cried out in his own cub-like roar as he was pushed over and gained a swipe across his face, a small bit of blood running down his muzzle. That really ticked him off. How dare the brat mess his prefect coat. He wasn't down for more than a minute before he was on his paws jumping as quickly as possible at the other cubs. "You," he shouted clearly angry about the stinging sensation now prominent on his face. He aimed to pin the cub, to let him know, Raav was stronger, Raav was better and the other would never come close!

This time Tamin didn't move fast enough and was squished by the older cub. With a howl of frustration he tried to repeat the same move from before, forcing the male off with his back paws. Not sure if it would work again, even though he did have a bit more leverage this time, Tamin started to squirm out from under the cub. "You stupid snot. Its all your fault." He snapped at him, both literally and figuratively as his teeth flashed in the light that filtered through the trees.

Raav was having a hard time holding the other cub down as he kicked, wiggled, and bit, but Raav was not letting up. He wanted to show the cub who was boss, it was him and the other needed to know that. "It's your fault you little white maned demon impostor. You needed to learn a lesson and I need to teach it to ..."

Suddenly Raav was lifted bodily from the other cub and he frowned looking up to see another mostly white maned lion had hold of him. He growled at the male, "put me down now," and for it he was literally tossed aside.

The male ignored him in favor of Tamin, "you should know better," he growled, the second part dropped to a whisper unheard by Raav, "a nephew of Drathir's, son of Nyota, nearly bested by him." Devya shook his head, "go back to you den Tamin. Straight there," he said before turning to Raav who was glaring at Tamin.

Tamin was about to snap back a reply when his opponent was suddenly gone. Getting up quickly he spotted Devya tossing the other cub aside. The fight was over and he knew it. "He started it," He said in defense, his blood still running hot. "And he did not best me I was about to..." He let his whispered sentence die as Devya told him to return to his den. Knowing that any farther argument would have him boldly dragged in front of his father, possibly his uncle as well if he was unlucky, had Tamin turning towards the direction of his den. When he was far enough away and a quick glance showed that Devya was no longer facing him, Tamin stuck his tongue out at the other cub before jogging out of the jungle towards home. Their fight would be completed another day, that he was sure of but first he had to find his father. Tamin wanted to practice fighting some more.

Devya looked over Raav and frowned deeply at the cub. "You would be wise not to pick fight you can not win. That cubs belongs to the 'current' royal bloodline and I am quite certain he was simply holding back. You are not his superior and you will do well to remember that." Devya turned and begin to walking off going to make sure that Tamin had indeed followed his instructions, but before he got too far he turned to Raav once more who was glaring at him, "you would also do well to keep your ridiculous opinions to yourself or you will be on the wrong side of a many quick tempered demons." With that he walked away.

Raav looked after him seething. Raav knew he was better and he did not care with the white maned adult had said. He was superior to the cub, but he also wasn't stupid, unfortunately getting on the royal family bad side was not a good idea. He would have to curb his temper where the other cub was concerned. When he thought on it, didn't that cub have sisters and well colored sisters too. Yes, it might be good to keep on the cubs good side.
