Neige was out hunting materials for crafting again. She still had a bit before she was to meet with Nasira again, and she wanted to spend it finding things to make her Master happy. If he was happy, she was happy. Of course, he was already amused by the prospect of her bearing more Na'artu and Na'artue for him, and he'd liked the necklace she made him...so making him HAPPY wouldn't be too hard, if she made the right things.

She practically squeed when she found the little chips of stone that were the same molten gold-fire as his eyes and her own. She took the little leather pouch she had and carefully started picking them up, humming as her tail swished excitedly behind her.

Ilterendi stalked back, her muzzle stained with blood. One of the Demons had asked her to hunt for them and considering she had no set master, she would not refuse a request. The female was scowling lightly, her mood not exactly 'chipper' but the slave was rarely happy. She knew her position in the pride would never change, even though she was dark. She had no demon lurking within and she would likely never gain one. It was simply not who she was. But still, she hated being a slave. She hated being bossed around. She would never be happy with her life - but at least, for now, she would not fight it.

The only good thing about her life was Rasi. The 'kind' demon who had been a slave with her, and had not turned his back on her, despite his new status as a demon. He was perhaps the only highlight in her miserable life.

A tiny smile twisted her mouth.

It was then she spotted the pale female, looking...happy. The smile slipped off quickly and a small sneer formed. She was obviously a fellow Na'artue, with her pale pelt. No demon could be that pale. Ilterendi continued on her path, knowing she would move passed the female and not bothering to change her path to avoid her, nor change her path to greet her fully.

Neige might not have paid the other Na'artue any attention, had it not been for the other's pelt. Neige's eye was caught by the colors on the dark pelt, and she was suddenly paying attention. The other was dark, yes...but it was obvious the other also was no full-lion. And her Master had told her only one halfbreed had ever become a demon.

The pale Na'artue tilted her head to one side, watching the other with wide gold eyes. "A shame you're technically a part of the pride. Your pelt would be lovely to craft with." Very lovely indeed. But like every demon, every Na'artu and Na'artue was a vital part of the pride.

The comment would have been rather disturbing, had Ilterendi not been used to the strange characters who resided within her home pride. She glanced at the female, her face blank from any emotions and gaze narrowed slightly. "Had I not been part of the pride, you would not be fast enough, nor clever enough to catch me, let alone take my pelt," she remarked casually, drawing to a stop to gaze at what the female had been involved with.

"You are a Na'artue. Why are you not serving your master, or the pride?" She demanded, voice tense.

Neige just smiled, letting the other have her arrogance. Neige was much faster and more clever than she looked, when she wanted something. And if she couldn't get it...her Master was usually happy to get it for her, if it meant another of her trinkets or useful creations.

"I am serving Master Rasul. I am not made for heavy labor, such as some of the other Na'artu and Na'artue are, but my skill in crafting serves my Master well. And I keep his den tidy, and make sure he is never lacking for comfort in his sleeping area." She took pride in the things she did for her Master. "And soon I will give him more Na'artu and Na'artue."

Ilterendi nodded. So she was not a pride slave, but had a master instead. Somehow, that surprised her. Who would want a pale slave like the female before her? She scoffed inwardly. She would not doubt the master of this female though. It was not her place to judge, even though had she been a demon, she would pick someone like herself - dark and easier to blend into darkness. Far easier to use for necessary things, like hunting.

"No, I suppose you are not built for strength," she remarked, not cruely but not kindly either. "You are to birth Na'artue and Na'artu?" She was...awfully young to be pregnant. She narrowed her gaze at the female. She didn't appear plump with cubs, but Ilterendi did not spend much time around pregnant females.

Neige nodded, her dark ears pricking forward in excitement. "Yes. My Master has agreed for me to have cubs with one of the pride's Na'artu." She and Nasira would have such lovely cubs! Maybe even one dark enough for her Master to claim as a son or daughter. That would be the closest she could get to her heart's desire.

"What of you? Will you one day give the pride more Na'artu and Na'artue?" SHE saw nothing wrong with the question. Though she knew of the existence of hybrids, and what they looked like, she knew nothing else about them.

Ah. So it was not the Master's young that the slave would be carrying. Ilterendi was not against the idea of spawn being born of slave and master, but it seemed...wrong, sometimes, when it was a female who was not willing to bear the burden of young was forced, due to her masters wishes.

However, it was a dark look which passed across her face at the female's question. "No. I am unable to bear cubs." Nor would she want to, for them to be placed into the same pride that she herself inhabited. She hated to think of how youth of hers would be treated. Though...she would not mind the offspring born of herself and Rasi, even though she knew that would be nothing but a fantasy. She would never bear the cubs of that master, nor would she of any male, master or not. "My family's line will end with my siblings and I." Unless the sister who fled was fertile, which Ilterendi had never thought to ask.

The pale adolescent's eyes flicked back and her eyes gained a sympathetic tone. "Oh. That is a shame. You've such a pretty pelt...you might even have been able to bear demons, if they were born on this soil." Such a waste...perhaps that was the reason so few hybrids existed? Why demons generally did not inhabit the bodies of hybrids? It would make sense, to not inhabit a body that could not produce more demons.

"I am Neige le'Croix. What is your name?" It was nice, collecting the names of her fellow slaves. Each one was like a little gem; some shiny and well-kept, others rough and just waiting to be tumbled and polished.

She inclined her head in thanks, preening a little at the compliments to her pelt. She did not like her coat, because it showed memories of her family, but she enjoyed the shades and how much like a demon she was, without the creature within that other demons housed. "No Na'artue will be born of me, nor demons. Others, such as yourself, will be the ones to take the generations further," she said calmly, without true interest in the subject.

Neige le'Croix. An interesting name, for the odd Na'artue. "Ilterendi," she offered shortly. She was not one for socialising, especially when she could do other things with her time. Should a master catch her out, catch her talking instead of working, she would earn a beating. She glanced back over her shoulder, to make sure no demon lurked nearby.

Yes...she would bear a new generation of slaves. Perhaps the first little slaves to be born to a slave. If she managed that...her Master would certainly be proud of her, very proud indeed!

Such a pretty name, the other had. To match her pretty pelt. Neige noticed the other look over her shoulder, and decided that perhaps the time for socializing was over indeed. "It was very nice talking with you, Ilterendi. Perhaps we may cross paths again one day." She might make a trinket, to set aside for that day. Something bright, to accent the swirls of color in the other's fur.

Ilterendi perhaps should have been pleased taht this female wished to keep her company at a later time. That she would actually not mind to stumble upon Ilterendi agian, but the idea did not thrill her. She had better things to do with her time, but like she had today, she would not avoid the female, should she stumble upon her again.

"Perhaps," she said quietly. Though raised a slave, Ilterendi did have manners, though they were rusty and rarely used. "And perhaps the next time, you will have youth tagging at your heels," she remarked, inclining her head calmly. "Good health, to you and your Master," she said, before backing away and continuing along her path. The conversation, though nice, had been a waste of time and her stroll had become a fast walk, to make up for the time she'd spent socialising.
