Mikā'īl didn't often venture to the borders of her new pride, but sometimes...it was nice to do so. Not far, of course, as she had no intentions of being considered 'abandoning' her duties. She'd need to return to the den area soon enough. But for the moment...there was warm sand beneath her paws, desert air in her nose and fur, and a sky that was at once brilliant and darkening as the sun began to set. It was...magnificent.
The smoke-colored lioness sat, tail curling around her paws so the blood-red tail tuft flopped across her front paws. A content smile graced her muzzle, and red eyes closed. This...this made even the hardest days worth every hardship. This, and knowing the cubs she helped watch after would grow up strong.

The male had things that he could be doing, he could be in different places wandering around, making himself keep himself busy. However at the moment there was one thing on his mind and it was the pride he was currently approaching. He heard that the firekin was a pride that he would be interesting in. The stories of the brave warriors and colors of red, white and black was something that he wanted and something that he thought would catch his interests.
He had been wandering by the pride for the last few days, keeping an eye on it and figuring out what he wanted to do. Today was another one of those days where he was going to wander up to it and check it out. As he approached however there was something different there that caught his eye. A female was by it's borders. The idea of seeing a member by the borders was not only interesting but he thought it was a good idea to talk to a member and get to know at least a little b about the pride. It was better then being clueless or for that matter going on what others thought instead of talking to an actual member. He paused for a moment before calling out to the female. "Hello?"

Mikā was not a guard, but she'd lived in the rogue lands most of her life; the unfamiliar male voice had her on guard the moment she heard it, bright red eyes on the stranger. He looked Firekin colors, roughly. But...she had no idea if he was a new member, or a rogue wanting to join. Or just a rogue looking for trouble. Hm...she'd proceed with caution.
The ash-colored female nodded to the male, now on her feet and ready. Just in case he did prove to be trouble. "Hello. May I help you?"
