He aimed at each one swiftly,flicking the trigger with a trained finger. He watched as each one fell, their heads split open. He counted with each shot, one, two, three, four, five,six. His arm was a blur as he loaded the next clip and in the space of a few seconds he was aiming again, pulling the trigger and watching them drop. After this clip was empty he got on one knee and disassembled the rifle, within a minute it was in the case that always sat next to him and he was walking away. He paused looking at the sky, a grim smile breaking his monotone face. The once busy sky was now quiet. the smile slowly faded and he headed through the fire escape.

A block over Renton had been gathering supplies when a walker tried to attack him. Taking out the silenced pistol he shot a clean hole in it's head. He walked out looking down the empty street seeing the abandoned cars scattered about behind police and military blocks. bodies littered the streets like trash when the city was alive. He brushed his uniform off and placed on his hat. "The big apple. One hell of a rotten fruit it is now" He said flipping his collar up and walking out into the light rain.

The door slammed behind him as he made his way down the hallway. He opened door after door only to see office after office. He sighed when he had reached the tenth one and leaned against the wall. An alarm suddenly sounded from the small headphone he always kept in his ear. The sensors hadpicked up somebody. His heart raced as he ran back up the stairs and quickly got out his binoculars.
