Guild topic post width and quote codes - new glitch?

I posted a topic in Shades of Ankh-Morpork on Wednesday. I quoted several people without using the quote button. Instead I typed in the quote code:

[quote="Laura Vandemar"] Hello! [/quote]

Like that. But I forgot one symbol and it became like this instead:

[quote="Laura Vandemar] Hello! [/quote]

And somehow, this mistake caused the post width on that topic to be about half of the usual size or less. When I fixed the code, the width reverted back to normal.

I don't recall this happening before in guilds or forums. If I've mistyped a code, it hasn't has any effect, not the intended one or any other.

I'm going to repeat the mistake in my second post in this thread to see if I can make it happen again.

Hmm, no effect. But in the guild I mentioned, when I fixed the code mistake, the page post width went back to normal. Weird glitch.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. Just wondering if others have encountered this type of glitch.
