Zii hadn't asked for help since the birth of her daughter. She hadn't asked advice or any guidance. In fact she barely seemed fazed by it. But in secret, she was falling apart. Inside, the betrayal of her beloved was too much for her to bear in her dreams and thoughts. In fact, when she went off on her guarding duties, she felt such deep regret when ever she passed by the dunes in which she had heard the two conspiring behind. The scar across her face ached constantly in the sun though the wound was healed.
She padded along, her head hung low in thought as she walked the borders of her lands. She should be more attentive of her duties, but her heart was so heavy with the worry for herself and her child and her mate. What if her daughter began to notice how Zii was. How she looked at her mate and sometimes didn't feel right. Yet it didn't feel wrong either. She sighed, seating herself on the dune in which a beloved rock sat. The rock her and her sister met upon so many times.
Now they were so far apart.

Nya could sense the lioness from far in the distance. Something told her the travel over the land of sand would be worth it for this poor soul. She could feel the pain of a mother. It burned her flesh more than the whipping sands. As she flew, she followed her senses, debating whether or not to show herself as her winged form or her other disguises. She could cloak herself as the lions mother or even just the wingless version of herself. She would chose later. Her strong wings flapped, her front paws used to wrap the shall she wore, around her eyes for protection. Up here, the sand blew hard.
She spotted the white form of a lioness, prone on the ground in thought. She smiled, her senses were strong. This was the mother. She began her descent. Her wings made quick work of her fall, but the winds made her topple a bit and before she knew it, the ground was coming upon her fast. She was losing her balance. She threw up her paws, as she collided with the sands with a thud.

Zii hadn't been paying attention very well. Her eyes were half lidded, staring into the sandy distance with a sigh. She wondered where Rowtag was at this time, was he missing her like she missed him? She had to stop missing him; for everyone's sake. Yet she had loved him since cub hood. Since they had played as juves. It was sickening, the thought of him. His face as he was declared a traitor. She lowered her head, covering her face with a paw. She had to get over this-she had a mate and a daughter. Was this all too fast?
As her sorrow was about to hit her extremely hard, when the sound of flapping and a crash lifted her head with a start. Before her, a winged lioness lay floundering in the sand. Blinking wide eyed, she stood up and sprang to defend herself. "Who-..." She started to speak but... couldn't really think of what to say. "Who are you?"

Nya sat up, coughing and sputtering the sand from her nose and mouth. She sat up, rubbing her eyes of the sandy nastiness. She looked up at the white female, who looked just about as surprised as she was at this situation. She coughed, fluttering her wings-she stood with a smile before the stranger. "Hello. I am Nyasambe Goddess of mothers. You summoned. You have become a mother not too long ago I sense."
She smiled warmly, looking confidant that she was alright in the presence of this lioness. Little did she know, long ago these lands would have treated her a bit differently. "I could sense you're need for me." She added softly.

Zii stared at this strange lioness with wings for a long long moment, her golden eyes looking over her quietly. It was strange, seeing something like this. She had seen rouges. She had seen prey and predators and everything in between but nothing... not like this. She was a bit taken back by this lionesses words... the words that felled this Nyasambe's mouth.
"Goddess?" She murmured, looking a bit skeptical. "Of mothers? You could... you can tell I am a mother?" She looked a bit more believing now. "I have a daughter..." She looked a bit sullen. "And I am letting my past love still haunt me to the point where I feel I am not doing my best at being a parent..." She looked more sullen

Nya smiled down at her. She was used to reactions like that. Some folks didn't even know about Gods and Goddesses; which was understandable. Many of her people did not leave their god lands, or show themselves in their true form. Primitus didn't leave his pride lands. She spent half her time with the Iknimaya pride, as it was her home. She grinned. "Yes a Goddess." She said softly, her wings shifting against her sides. "And yes. I can sense when a mother needs my assistance. I come to those who need me most."
She paused. "And you need my advice." She said softly. She listened to the lionesses words, nodding her head. "I see. You feel as though your connection with your mate and daughter is not as you wish it was. You feel guilt. Which is normal." She said nodding softly. "I can offer you help.

Zii still couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that this purple lioness before her was an actual goddess. She shook her head, looking skeptical. She knew she wasn't being a very good guard, but so far this lioness was no harm and hadn't requested to join, which would have been the answer; no.
She sat back and listened to the words this lioness was speaking. "I don't buy it.... prove it. Prove your a goddess or I will have your guts as jewelry." She said with a snarl, narrowing her eyes. She was so confused, she wasn't sure how to even believe this.

Nya's smile faded and she looked serious. So with a sigh, she stepped forward and as soon as Zii' blinked, her appearance changed. Her lilac pelt changed to black, her eyes faded to gold, her markings left her and she was unmarked. Her muscles grew and her legs shortened. She stood before Zii as the image of her mother No. She lifted her head proudly, as that was how she felt this pride would represent themselves.
"I am before you as your mother. To everyone else, I am their mother." She said simply, her voice was unchanged however. "And I offer you my services."

Zii stumbled backwards as within just a moment, in just the blink of her eye, she was before her mother. She stood stunned before her mother, her eyes shifting. "You are the form of my mother. You are a goddess then. I believe you. I believe you wholly. I am sorry Nya'sambe. I should have believed you... Forgive me Mother." She said softly, stepping forward and lowering her head. "I do not know how you can help me..."
She sat down and lowered her head further. "I don't want to feel this. I want to be strong. I want to be a strong lioness again. I want to be able to be a guard for my pride. To be able to care for my daughter and my mate..." She said with tears starting to brim

Nya smiled and nodded her head, knowing that the illusion always worked. Though long ago, the illusion caused the attack upon her-that wounded her and sent her into a healing sleep. She did not recall this at that moment, only that the lioness was in her care now. She bobbed her head, as another blink went by, Zii appeared as Nya'sambe again. She stood and reached back with her mouth, grabbing a feather and pulling it from her body.
She then set the pale feather before the lioness.
"I give you my feather. As soon as you touch it; your thoughts will be changed. You will not feel like this anymore. You keep the feather with you or hide it, but always know where it is. When you are ready, the feather will leave you. Or you may get rid of it. Just keep in mind-if you destroy the feather before you are ready... I will be wounded.... this is a gift... a gift of my body."

Zii looked down at the feather, not recognizing the markings on it. She looked down at the feather again, before reaching a paw forward and picking it up with her claws. She didn't feel much at first, though the feeling of such a nice feather against her paw pads was interesting. She then felt the biggest urge to go home. To see Kich and her daughter. She trembled, at the worry of where her child was.
She looked up at the goddess with her golden eyes wavering. "You are a goddess. I thank you..." She said softly, closing her eyes. "I didn't know Gods and Goddesses were capable of such things. I won't tell anyone about you... as I'd like to keep this a secret. I... I appreciate it so much." She felt tears dripping down her face.
"I... I have to go... I won't ever destroy it. I will hide it. In a place that me and my sister shared as cubs. Thank you Nya... Thank you."

Nya nodded happily. "Of course Zii'moto..." She said kindly. "Keep it safe for me." She said, flapping her wings hard and lifting off the ground. "Remember me Zii!" She called, before flying away. Fin
