I do not know arabic. Can i read the Qur'an translated into english? Or will it not be accurate?

I too not know arabic. Um..the quran can be translated but the real meaning behind every word stays the same. well, since my parents sent me to learn on reading the quran, so i can read it, but really dont know what it really means..weird right? well its like that in malaysia. but if im not mistaken, the generation after me did get to learn arabic in school. I was like OH SO LUCKY! >.<.. im still learning. =)

Yeah, you can read it in English. Hell, I've only got an English translation to go by. As far as I know, whether the translation is accurate or not, if you want something exactly word for word, you'd go with a transliteration, but that would sound very forced in English writing. It wouldn't flow.
As with translations, they vary depending on the translator. Some can just take words from one language to another better than others can. So, it depends on what you get, really, but the main message of the thing'll still be pretty much intact throughout any translation.

No translation is ever as good as what language its written in. In this case, Arabic is a deep and complex language. But English will have to do if you do not speak Arabic.
I reccomend Majid Fakhry when it comes to Qur'ans in English.
