Me and Destructive Assasin have decided to learn Japanese together over Skype. The thing is, we both live in different countries. I recently got a book on learning Japanese that we could use...But we're not sure how we'll be setting up this study-buddy seminar, any tips?

If you ever need a informal teacher, I could offer my services (: I'm still a Japanese student myself, but I wouldn't mind offering a few pointers. Please let me know!!

Other than that, I would recommend learning from the textbook and learning the basics together? What level are you two at? (:

Good luck!

We're pretty much just staring (like very basics), and that'd be great! Do you know of any why we could use the textbook using Skype? (like, since only I have it what would be a good way to 'distribute' the information?

I think you should somehow use the same textbook and like do the same questions and help each with pronouncing and answering questions and stuff like that.

Okay the best way I can think of for you to both do this, is to scan the pages unto your computer somehow. You could take pictures of the lesson pages and send them to your friend. Or retype the page and send that. You could also read the explanations outloud if that helps him.

Reading and Speaking Outloud is the best way to imprint things into your mind. You remember 10% of what you read, but 70% of what you speak.

Happy Learnin!
