The reason I have to do a lot to these shoes is because I cannot find shoes like those that fit my feet. Largest I see girls shoes sold in is like a 10 in mens.

I am not sure why you think it's gay. It's a costume. That'd be like saying someone playingly dressing up as a female for Halloween is gay.
