N'gombe maneuvered the precarious footing with an inborn grace she did not seem aware off, moving from rock to ledge, to grass and back to rock. The sun played across the pearl colored brightness of her pelt, and struck the rich brown markings along her head and back, making the auburn undertones stand out. For the first few hours she was content in their companionable silence, but then, by the by she began to sing.
Her voice was as lovely as she was, and filled with the same innocence as her eyes. She sang not to seduce, or entertain, but merely for the pure joy of it. The gentle melody created by her song flowed around them, lifting in simple beauty and happiness.
