Gazing out over the landscape they would have to travel, he trotted down a step in the path to look out. If any danger arose, he would definately have to redirect them. So he scouted the area with his sharp eyes, until he deemed it calm enough to proceed. Looking up at the mouth toward the female he would acompany to the Pride, he called out, "We'd have to start soon.."

N'gombe came to the edge of the cave, and looked back for a moment, moon born eyes sweeping over their little shelter, a sudden chill rising her fur before she pushed it back. She choose this and would go with the dark pelted stranger she'd named Noir.

She padded soft footed up to him, placing a delicate paw on his shoulder, “ I am ready Noir. I am not afraid, not with you beside me.” N'gombe purred low in her throat and rubbed against him, pleased that she could catch his scent along her fur.

A nod signified that he would do as she requested. To leave now as to not stay out where there COULD be danger. Paranoid to say the least, he rubbed in return his cheek to her neck before pushing her slightly forward. "Go on." He noted.. Then followed suit with her. Turning his head on how lucky someone will be when they find this refuge. Then slowly made his way down the cavering rock faces to get to the dry touch of grass in some patches while it was mostly rocky. He wondered just how she got here without falling, at least she was had good talent.

He observed her in every wave her body gave and lead them down to the vally before slowly following the river out... Time would have blown by with either his silence or her chatter. All the same, Noir was blessed to have not killed this being so delicate and rich of personality.

N'gombe maneuvered the precarious footing with an inborn grace she did not seem aware off, moving from rock to ledge, to grass and back to rock. The sun played across the pearl colored brightness of her pelt, and struck the rich brown markings along her head and back, making the auburn undertones stand out. For the first few hours she was content in their companionable silence, but then, by the by she began to sing.

Her voice was as lovely as she was, and filled with the same innocence as her eyes. She sang not to seduce, or entertain, but merely for the pure joy of it. The gentle melody created by her song flowed around them, lifting in simple beauty and happiness.

They walked along and though his silence may have effected the mood. It was like- there was no need to talk. But when she started to sing, the voice that came out with that striking melody. Entertainers- whom sang their heart outs couldn't compare to her singing. Thus instinctively walking even closer to her. In sync with her pace.

Ears back as he listened while guiding the way for the most part but that too was instinct. He knew where his home was. So now, he could feel and absorb her singing. When they got to another moutain like range, yet with no moutain.. He lead them up on to the face. Where heat was not laking in the least. Stopping and looking out for a moment to see if he saw anyone.

N'gombe favored him with a smile as he matched pace with her, occasionally stopping to brush her shoulder against his. Enjoying the warmth of his touch. As they started to climb, what she could only call a ridge, she let her song trail off, sensing his sudden wariness. The air was hot, almost oppressive and she found herself leaning against his bigger, stronger frame, for comfort.

A light breath he gave before taking in the heat against is jet black fur. The real feeling was scorching but he didn't show any sign of discomfort. After all, he trained himself in the art of going the extra mile. When she leaned against him he softly put his head on top of hers. "Its time to put you asleep." He voice was soft and trying to sound compassionate.

Curling his tail softly and lazily around her back leg. "After this, when you wake- you will be .. in my home."

N'gombe looked up at him with her innocent eyes, their gaze full of trust. She leaned up and licked his neck softly, “ I am ready beloved.” She whispered into his jet fur, turning her muzzle into his ruff. The graceful cheetahess may have been naive, but she was not stupid. She had a fair idea how she would end up 'asleep'. Closing her eyes, she waited, only the slight trembling of her body pressed against his betrayed her fear. Not of him, but of what laid beyond these last moments alone with him.

He nodded and turned around. Picking up a thick rock and rolled it up in the fur. For a moment, he stopped and felt the sickness that was to 'feel' for someone. Even putting her to sleep. Then he put a dominating paw on her side.

Then he reared his head back then pully hit the direct spot in the head. With enough force, he knew this to be the spot for them to still stay alive. Only because the art was passed down to him from many pride turks. And when she fell he immidately held her in his arms. Eyes went soft as he leaned down. Hesitantly before he licked softly at her maw..

She wouldn't know but he would. Then he pulled one side so the rock could slide out. So.. he softly wrapped her face in the pelt. Giving her place to breath before pressing his forehead to her face. "You don't know what your getting in to.. but I'll protect you til my last breath... but you won't know.." Rubbing his head's form softly in to the pelt before weaving his head down and propping up.

Lifting her as he went down the line. Having her body drape in every which way until it 'hopped' to the right position. Before his body quickly went in to the caverns. Rock faces overhead and a beautiful view above and around them. WIth no one to apperciate them. The quartz and all. Shining and shimmering as Noir's shadows casting against the rock faces.. It took almost a grand hour or so with his pace. He was quick, he had done this many times before..

N'gombe crumpled, like a bird taken in mid flight, her body falling into itself as the rock did as it was suppose to. She fell into darkness, her last thought of bright pain and brief fear that Noir had somehow hurt her on purpose.

She was limp in his paws, though when he licked her muzzle she made a soft sound, as if she knew he were there, near her. The slight female weighed so little as he lifted her to his back, her eyes hidden by the pelt and the darkness in which she slept.

When his finally arrived. The guards hiding in the trees of the forest ring starred him down. Some moving with the trees..Following. Lowering their heads a he took the body in upon his back. When he met the two guards that stood elitely by the only openning to the pride. Nodding then slowly going to his den. Lowering her at the end of his with its private spring. Like the Boss's den had but his was smaller in size. He was that good to have something so magnificent.

He looked down at her with a softness before pulling the pelt away from her face. Lowering his body beside hers. Wrapping his tail around her, along with his body in a cresent moon shape.

"Who is she." A soft.. ginger voice said. A very precautious adolesent that seemed to sound as if she knew him. That something he was doing was wrong..

"A..someone. Like a nanny."
"Why...did you bring her here."
"Because. She will be another one for the boss lady to use."
"No. Why did you bring her to your den.. I thought no one was allowed in." She tilted her head..
"Because. " He stopped. "Just go." Black padded ears fell. Then she turned away to leave him to his devices

N'gombe looked so very young, and so very fragile as she lay there beside him. The delicate female slept, her breathing even and soft, though there was a lump forming where the rock had struck her. She was going to wake with a massive headache, but for now she snuggled in closer to him, a gentle purr coming from her as she slept within the safety of his body.
