The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife, and Vodnitvar could feel it. The whispers behind one anothers back, the rumors snaking through the woodwork, and the way the pride seemed to be split down the middle. So many signs, that he was simply in awe that no one else seemed even the slightest bit put off by it! With a grimace the older lion pulled himself to his feet, his aching joints creaking as he pushed through the pain. He hated the cold, the bitter feel of the wind against his weak joints - it made him contemplate whether or not he had made the right choice in coming here.

"Nonsense.." He mumbled to himself as he crawled his way out of the hole he had been lying in. These lions had taken him in, he had to do his part to try and save the peace. Afterall, he was an older lion, he wanted a place to live out his life in peace. Not a warzone, he had to think of something....

'Vodnitvar, to what do we own this unexpected visit?' Luoji's words were cold, almost cold enough to bite at his bones just like wind.

"Something is a foot Luoji, something that might have been brewing well before we arrived and I fear we might be pawns in it. I dont' know what it is, but I can FEEL it. I know you might not give a damn about anything I have to say -" Vodnitvar looked up from under his own eyes and awaited the lion's response, which he quickly received.

'Looks like you haven't lost your touch in telling others what to do or how they should feel..

Regardless, what are you going on about this time?' Luoji's words were gruff, and a little dilocated as though his full attention was focused elsewhere and he was only humoring the older lion with his company.

"I just TOLD you I don't know what it is. Are you really going to tell me you haven't noticed anything?! Ever since we arrived here, there's been nothing but trouble! The lions talking behind on another's backs, that one lion telling Radosny that he was working for a bad lion - WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON ALL THIS?!

HUH?

I come to you, so that maybe you can help me, help YOU and that precious sister of yours, but instead you ignore me?!"

Vodnitvar was fuming, so hot with rage that the bitter cold around him even notched up a few degrees.

"I know you don't like me, but I figured you might want to know for HER sake."

With those cold words, the older male, attempted to turn on his toes and stomp away, but the cold had frozen his joints, and the excrutating pain of forcing yourself to move through was not a welcome thought.

"How's that for food for thought?

Try not to wait til it's too late to do anything about."

With that, Vodnitvar turned his head away from the lion and winced in pain as he slowly lifted one leg, and then the other. Forcing himself to exercise his far gone joints. The pain was unbearable, but the indignance this young male had given him was far more painful.

"That's the last time I try and help your sorry excuse for a hide.." He growled as he slowly trudged away from the lion's residence.
