I can has a lioness cub
Baby Name: Kati (Swahili-“center”)
Tentative new name: Cacahuaniliztli (Nahuatl-”fame or news”)
Personality: Kati enjoys the company and attention of others. She isn’t high maintenance, but she has the most fun when she’s the center of attention, be it having everyone play the game she chose or talking to the adults. She’s smart and adventurous, but she feels like she’s meant for something great, although she doesn’t mention that part often. On her naming quest, she’ll become well-known for something, I just don’t know what yet, but perhaps her feminine wiles. It may be positive or negative.

Baby Name: Aatoco (Nahuatl-“for things to be carried away by water”)
Tentative new name: Acalaqui ( Nahuatl-“to go beneath the level of the water”) or Acaltica Nemiliztli (“navigator”)
Personality: As a cub, Aatoco is very jumpy. He was dared by some of his siblings as a young cub to step into the river before they learned to swim. He waded out to far and was swept away. As a consequence, he is very afraid of rivers or any large body of water, and somewhat dislikes living in the swamps. He worries a lot and prefers staying close to his quieter siblings or his mother. He has sharp instincts, though, and will learn to use them on his naming quest.
Miss. Personality
Baby Name: Bembe (Swahili-“confection” but translated roughly as “sweet”)
Tentative new name: Acicaitta (Nahuatl-”to perceive something, to know something well”)
Personality: Bembe is a sweetheart. She is docile, quiet, and polite, yet lively. She loves nothing more than swimming in the rivers or lying under a tree thinking. Her family is important to her and she loves them dearly. She seems to be the perfect cub, rarely in trouble or fights, kind, and always happy to see everyone. She never raises her voice, and only family and friends can tell when Bembe's angry, because she just gets quieter.
She observes everything around her, rarely speaking her judgement or opinion, but storing everything she learns away in her mind. People interest her, but only from afar. She prefers to learn obtusely, rather than in direct conversation, because she believes people are more genuine when they forget to pay attention to you. Her interactions are often premeditated, and if someone piques her interest, chances are she’ll “stalk” them in a completely obvious way. Her interests are always innocent, however, and are simply her own way to learn about the world. There’s a lot going on in her head, most people just wouldn’t know it.
Bembe can sometimes be used as a doormat, though. She rarely asks for what she wants, and if someone’s interest, need, or want conflicts with hers, she will gracefully concede. She doesn’t dignify teasing or meanness with an answer, but that often only worsens the situation. Bembe prefers everything to be neat, orderly, and exactly where it should be. She absolutely hates loud noises and yelling, especially any kind of fighting. As such, she fears thunder greatly, like her mother. On her naming quest, however, she will come to understand thunder and embody it in order to become stronger for herself and others by being forced to overcome some sort of situation.

Tentative new name: Darshan Kern ( a combination of sight and seed )
Personality: Uncertain and keen for praise from anyone who will offer it. If someone speaks well of him he'll go out of his way to please them.
Miss. Personality
Baby Name: Yon
Tentative new name: Vinanti Anah ( a combination of quest and answers )
Personality: As a club she's quite closed minded. The world is the swamp and things are they way they are just because that is how they are. She is not by any means unpleasant in this. Her quest will open her eyes to the world at large and cause her to (over time) be a far more curious creature.

Baby Name: Criard (loud)
Tentative new name: Kukanyagana (stampede)
Personality: She's the type to let you know exactly how she's feeling. If she's happy, you'll be able to tell. If she's mad, you and everyone in earshot will hear about it. She's not mean, just bossy, and not afraid to 'give you the horns' if you 'mess with the bull'. I'm not sure if she'll come back from her name quest or not. She might end up finding someone to be her 'red flag' and go charging after them forever, depending.

Personality: Insatiably curious and brave, but judgmental and easily thinks of others as stupid, cowardly, etc.
Sabra Knight Miss. Personality
Baby Name: Jalila (great)
Tentative new name: Matapeli’Cheka (trickster laugh)
Personality: A fire cracker with a sharp mind. She loves to be involved with mischief as a cub and never shies away from the possibility of a good prank. Not a cruel cub, however, just a mischievous one who would never mean to harm anyone in any way. She just likes to have a good laugh with others is all. As she grows she’ll calm down more and lose some of her hyper personality, but still always have a good sense of humor and adventure. She especially loves facing a challenge and if anyone tells her that they believe she can’t do something then she’ll go out of her way just to prove them wrong. Definitely a bold and daring tomboy.
