The temple was quiiet save for the light tinkling of a harp. The soft melody soothing to most of the people within the temple. The rest were off on their duties, leaving the goddess to play the harp for her personal practice. A soft hum emanated form her, her eyes closed as she played.

Lalania had made her slow walk through the temple, her eyes downcast as she could not bother to look up. She was born blind, and was used to the scoffs at having not had them fixed by some God or Goddess. But it was a personal choice she appreciated at times like this one. The sound of the Goddess of Light's music was a lovely tune that her ears adored. But she had yet to be noticed by the Goddess, so she allowed herself to lean against a pillar and listen serenely, a smile crawling across her otherwise still face.

The goddess smiled lightly as she looked up to the general direction of the Angelic. She could feel her, quiet shuffling, her eyes downcast. She could sense her condition and choice herself. "Is something on your mind child?" the goddess asked, looking up to her with a smile as she continued to play, well skilled in her hobby.

Lalania tilted her head toward the voice and shook her head, her smile fading slightly. "No, milady. I listen to the heavenly music you play. and it gives me peace. There's little in this world that could make me feel as you do. I feel the light that I would otherwise be unable to sense, through your music." It was the truth. She had never experienced what light was, nor knew what shadows were. She was a calm creature, who for the most part kept to herself. Except for the instances where she found herself drawn to the Temple of Light. And each time the Goddess played, it made her want to always return to hear it once more.

She stood up and approached her. Peace? That was something she has not heard in a very long time. "Peace?" she asked softly. Ever since arriving, it's what's been on her mind. Good and evil, her soul weighs on her children fighting and divided. Worse was the fact that they had turned on each other.

The blind girl nodded, a soft smile forming on her lips, her hands coming up to press against her own cheeks, a small blush forming beneath her ivory fur. "You make my heart feel a hundred times lighter, as if someone has taken me into the soft folds of outer space, a weightless heady rush, a sense of belonging..." There were too many words to describe how the Goddess made her feel. "You make a child's laugh sound like the grating of rocks..." She giggled herself, turning her head toward the voice, and almost wishing she could see the deity for a moment.

The goddess gave a light laugh shaking her head lightly. "Hush hush child. I'm not all that great." she laughed lightly. Standing up and approaching the blind fae to not trouble her. Gently touching her lips lightly.

"Oh, but you are. For someone to say otherwise should be taboo." She whispered, reaching up to clasp Valeria's hand lightly. She was uniquely aware of how close the Goddess was to her, yet it didn't feel awkward. Rather, it felt as natural as breathing. Perhaps it was the fact that the Goddess who stood before her was of the Light. And though she could not see it, light surrounded her even now. "You are amazing, milady. You brighten everything with your presence." Lalania wondered what the other acolytes would think in seeing their Goddess touch such a peasant as herself. Perhaps envy or shock. It was truly laughable.

She giggled softly and shook her head. "Why should relationships be taboo? love is what the world needs is it not?" she asked her. Gently leading the female over to the gardens outside for a walk. Her hand gently taking hers as a guide, making sure she would be ok being maneuvered around, knowing her blindness. Her faint glow emanating into her vision, giving the fae a light outline of where she was.

Love? The word caught Lalania off-guard. She had never thought of love before, never truly felt it before. The feeling was alien. Was it the warm feeling in her heart, the butterflies in her stomach, that sort of weightless feeling in her steps? She wasn't certain. As Valeria pulled her to her feet and guided her away from her little hiding spot, Lalania felt rather exposed. But as she continued to walk, she felt a lightness in her body, like her woes were being washed away. And light seemed to sheer into her vision. She felt it before it began, but was shocked at seeing it. It continued to brighten until she could see the gray edges of objects and a weak look of her surroundings. So strange! Lalania clung to Valeria's hand out of her own shock, her mouth slightly agape, a slight smile curving her lips. She knew where Valeria was leading her, but it was strange to see her surroundings going past rather then sensing them as she felt her way through.
As they continued to walk, a question tumbled from her lips, "What is love, milady?"

"Love?" she replied softly. "It is when you care for someone deeper than just friends." she replied. "When you're willing to give it all up for someone. That you'll give your heart and soul to that person. That... for me is love." Settling them down in a bench by the gardens, she hoped it answered her question.
