(I am pretty sure this is still open but if it isnt I am sorry... I suck at figuring out time zones and such)
Here, let me try! Name and meaning (optional): Ula (means jewel of the sea... based on her blue eyes. Desired rank as adult: Nanny Infection status diseased Short personality blurb: Ula is a sweet caring girl, she loves being the only girl in the family. She however is sad that she will never be able to have cubs. As such when she becomes an adult she will take on the roll of nanny for aso long as she can before the diease gets to her. Prompt number and response: #1
Ula dragged her paws as she walked, it just wasn't fair mommy had left the pride again for her duties... something Ula didn't fully understand but she knew that mommy had to leave and it sucked. Of course this also wasn't a week that daddy was around either, so Ula and her brothers were left with nannies. Ula admired the nanny's and their jobs, perhaps she would be a nanny when she got older, after all she did enjoy keeping up after her brothers.
Ula paused under a tree, taking a seated postion she watched the branches sway back and forth in the light wind. Ula was young yet to show any symptoms but she knew there was a chance that she would be sick, if she was sick she would not leave the pride never set foot outside the borders. It was sad for her to imagine as her mother and father both got to see what was out there. The young cub tried to shake the tears from her eyes. Really life wasn't that bad here... she looked around the lands the only things she would probably know.
With the sun getting low in the sky Ula tried to shake all the bad thoughts from her head, the stories mommy and daddy had would have to be enough. The cub stood and she made her way quickly towards her den, hopefully mommy would be back in a few days and the cub would be able to live vicariously through her..

Here, let me try! Name and meaning (optional): Nemirni'trn / Serbian for 'Restless Thorn' Desired rank as adult: Apothecary Infection status Diseased; It will appear at birth and she probably won't won't see Adulthood. Short personality blurb: Nemirni'trn (Mirni for short) is a tired child. She was brought into life diseased and in pain and spends a great amount of her time that way. Because of this, her outlook on life is bleak and she struggles to find beauty in the ordinary like some of the other pride members.
The pain makes her irritable and snappy, making her seem like a crabby and uninviting person. This is not true. Most of the time Mirni pines for the ability to have friends, but her pained condition keeps her from the ability to create meaningful relationships with others because she cannot get past it.
When she has a good day she has a constant small smile on her face, and attempts to make as much physical contact with her mother and siblings as she can. Regardless, she can usually never go farther than the outskirts of the den areas before she's completely exhausted.
Prompt number and response: 3
Mirni's chest tightened. She could feel the bile running up her throat and the tell tale stench of sickness wafting into her nose. She was going to vomit, but it was not because she was sick. No. It was because she was heaving large sobs and crying tears so big that each one that dripped down her face was another step towards dehydration for the sickly leopon.
She clung to the still form before her as others from the pride tried to pry her away. She would not let them. They could not take her only friend from her; not in life, or death. Mirni held on as tightly as she could, but Bard of the pride, Josepi was his name, managed to pry her free causing the poor little leopon to expel the bile that was creeping up her throat.
"NO! NO! GIVE HER BACK! SHE'S NOT DEAD!" Mirni shouted, convinced her only friend has simply passed out from overexertion. Her best friend would never abandon her this way. They promised to pass together so neither would be alone. She would never die on her.
The clay colored Bard held Mirni back as tightly as he could without hurting her or causing her to vomit once more. Quietly he tried to console the distraught child, "Shh. Shh. Calm your tears."
The male's silence in regards to Mirni's pleas caused another weight to drop within her stomach and she began to breathe labored breaths. It was true. The fact he would not acknowledge her words or tell her otherwise meant it was true.
Mirni began to cry once more, muttering through her tears, "But she said.... She said we'd go together. She said she'd never leave me!"
It had happened so fast. Death had come to her friend so fast, but Mirni did not understand how. One minute the two had been playing, both feeling remarkably good that day. Small bouts of teething, a little wrestling, and at the moment of her friend's collapse, they had decided to sprint back to Mirni's mother's den.
It hadn't been that far away, but within the twenty feet from where they had started their little race back to Mirni's home her friend had slowed, gasped, clutched her little fluffed chest and fallen over. It had played out like slow motion before Mirni's eyes and took only the blink of an eye to be over.
She could see the flashback of minutes ago play in her head. Her rushing to the side of her downed friend. Panicking as she thought the other little girl had passed out right in front of her. Shoving her with her paws and yelling hysterically at her to get up. The pride members who had heard her frantic screaming gather around her and the chaos of them trying to make sure her friend was alive.
She didn't want them to take her friend. They could take her friend. They promised to go together.
Mirni struggled once more, biting at the male's paws and arms, hissing and screaming, "LET GO OF ME! LET GO OF ME!"
Mirni's defiance drew the looks of the rest of those gathered and they frowned at her, a mixture of sorrow, disapproval and empathy upon their faces. Several shook their heads and others whispered quietly to get the parents.
"Josepi, take the girl back to her den. Stay with her until her mother comes," Someone suggested, although Mirni could not distinguish who as she thrashed about.
"Com'on, knock it off." Josepi said quietly as he turned, picking the cub up by her scruff, "You're going to hurt yourself doing that."
"I don't care!" Mirni hissed, wiggling around more in attempts to work herself free, "I want to be with my friend!"
"You can't, little one. You just can't..." Josepi sighed, heading with Mirni in his maw back to her den.
Mirni twisted as much as she could within her own skin, tears still streaming down her little dirt colored face. All she wanted was on last glimpse. One last glimpse of her best friend. The one who promised her that they would pass together, and on their own time.
