Disc Authorization Failure?

This started happening after the new update, I'm not sure if it's because my Mac was updated to Lion but I am unable to play the sims.

Whenever if gets all past the loading to where you choose the household you want to play something pops up saying "Disc Authorization Failure" and tells me it cannot verify that I have a legit copy of the game, WHICH I DO. I can promise you that.

It started happening after the new Sim Mac update. Now I am completely unable to play because they screwed up. I'm really itching to play, can anyone help me?

I'm not sure what to suggest as I play on a PC.
You could try backing up all of your save data and then reinstalling the game. That's all I can think of right now, sorry.
