Harry Potter finale

well, i just saw the final movie; it was not 3D for me, since we were at a drive-in! good old fashioned fun.

i wandered around and listened to strangers' speakers as i watched from different angles.

but i feel sort of let down.

for me there was too much gratuitous "action", combat scenes like the LOTR Twin Towers with Helm's Deep. and not enough dialogue, not enough time with the chraracters.

and now it is done.

oh well, it could have been worse.

so how do you feel about this conclusion to the series?

Ok, ok, I'll admit I teared up at the end. There were a few things wrong, but I did love the awkward Malfoy/Voldermort hug!

i like the Harry/Draco tension and unacknowledged respect.

To be honest, I think they didn't thoroughly think through the second part; they kind of rushed it and missed their momentum from the first part of the Deathly Hallows.

yes, i believe i understand and agree with you; it reminded me of part II of LOTR, THe Two Towers, when they grossly expanded the Battle of Helm's Deep with a lot of unnecessary CG violence.

i suspect they were trying to attract more boys to watch that film...and it worked, so HP tried the same tactic?

you know, now that it is all over, i sorta feel like the week after Christmas

it was fun, i cannot complain

but now there is this empty feeling
