IC Publicity: Public Weather: Dry and unpleasantly hot Location: A shady spot by some rocks and trees. Pôntàn didn't like being sick. He didn't think anyone liked being sick, but this was the first time in his short life that he had been this sick. He was tired and flt icky no matter what he did, and sometimes he would see funny things. He knew they weren't real, but that didn't make them any less scary. Today wasn't so bad, though - he was a little dizzy and he was very tired, but there were no blurry scary things or loud sounds.
His Mama left him earlier and told him to stay put, and he didn't have the strength or desire to argue with her. Why would he want to leave this shady spot when he was too tired to walk much? Still, it was... kind of lonely here, and he really wished he has someone to talk to. Being sick was bad, but being sick and alone was worse. But what could he do, besides stay put and wait for his Mama - or anyone, really - to come and keep him company?

Tunda had been told by her mother that Amara's little boy was sick. She wasn't quite sure what being sick meant, nor particularly why that meant that she couldn't see Pontan. He'd seemed like a potential friend when she'd first spotted him, granted most of the time she'd seen him, she'd been hiding in her mother's shadow, the world outside her family was a rather intimidating place and she wasn't the bravest little lioness in the world, rather shy in the presence of others, but she was always curious and curiosity could overpower even the most timid tendencies she had. Her mother had seemed distracted however and unwilling to answer her questions of what was so bad about this sickness and as such she'd taken it upon herself to slink off with Kingune to find Pontan, aware he was somewhere nearby. So it was with her nose to the ground that she sought him out.

Kingune Couldn't understand why she and her sister weren't allowed to go near Pôntàn, and it annoyed her greatly. All the adults were worried about this 'sickness' thing, but she didn't think there was anything to worry about. What was the harm in talking to another cub? It didn't make sense, and she didn't like being told not to go near the others. She hardly knew any other cubs, and wanted to make some new friends; It hadn't been very long since they had arrived here, and she was still getting used to all the new faces. And so, when the opportunity came to sneak away from their mother, she was glad to take it. Tundra seemed to have a idea of where to find Pôntàn, so while her sister kept her nose to the ground, she kept a lookout, trying to spot the other cub.

With a little moan and a flop, Pôntàn rolled over onto his side and closed his eyes. It was so hot... So, so hot, and he was so sleepy. But he couldn't sleep now, not while he was by himself, so it was with a good deal of effort that he rolled back onto his belly. "Uhh," he groaned, and looked around with bleary eyes.
Was that someone coming? It didn't have the blurry, unreal look of the things he imagined when he got so very hot... did he have visitors? That would be nice, but... he didn't want to get them sick, either. It wasn't Mama, or at least he didn't think so. So who was that, then? "H'llo? Is... someone there?" His voice was weak and sounded as exhausted as he was.
He hated being sick!
