I just bought my self the most adorable Pit Bull Pleco today, at a LFS. He's so small!!! X3 The size of an Otto LOL Any tips would be great, but I'm guess he wont be too different then my BN back at home (I miss him! T.T). The pic bellow is of him in a PetSmart betta cup (about 4 inches in diameter at the bottom). I have standard sized, black, PetCo brand gravel. Really shows how small he is! heart heart heart He's so cute! And always out and about, unlike Ninja, my Bristlenose, back home. The only thing he lacks is the attitude I'm used to getting from Ninja, but I've only had hime since last light, so it may just be hiding in there some where wink

He's adorable! How big do the pitbulls get? The store where I work just started carrying them, and I don't know a lot about them.

LFS says upto 4 inches, AqAdvisor.com says upto 2 inches. They are great for 10 gallon tanks lol Bad news... I was doing a water change yesterday and I put the syphon down on top of his head. This morning he was dead. Not sure if I'll replace hi or not. $10 is more then I have right now >.<

So, I bought a new one, and after just a few minutes in my tank, he bloated up, and died over night. The last time I will admit was my fault, but this time was not. I've decided that I just dont have have the proper water conditions for these guy, and will try again at a later date.

Odd, though, because the ones where I work seem pretty sturdy. I don't think we've lost any, and we've had the same group for a few months.

I don't think we've lost any, and we've had the same group for a few months. The water here, according to the LFS, is really hard (like so hard you dont need to buffer it to hatch brine shrimp eggs!), and I have 2 peices of driftwood in my tank, making it more soft. My guess is the second guy just didnt do well with the jump, even with acclimation.
