Kin did not leave her family den area often, even though most of her siblings were crazy about exploring and her mother urged her to often enough. It wasn't that she was shy or anything, or that she lacked interest in the world that she lived in. Simply it was because she preferred the wonderful alternative of napping. But today she'd finally slipped away from the den, her tiny legs carrying her body through the swamp. She moved directly through the muck and grime, careful not to go anywhere that was too deep in the swamp and always keeping her eye out for snakes. She did not care one bit about her fur being clean or dirty, and why should she? It would not be that nice for her mother to clean it later, but so what.
She began to hum as she moved, slow and carefree. After a moment she heard another's voice, hers ears pricked up and she smiled. Oh, frog catching? She liked frogs very much! They were such queer little creatures, and their noises were so beautiful when several different kinds of them all croaked together. She slowly approached, climbing up onto a large rock as she peered at the other cub. She smiled softly, head tilting. "Do you want company finding frogs?" She asked lightly, as if she'd known this other girl since they'd been born.
