 The shadows were getting longer as the sun slowly inched closer and closer to the horizon. Tsubame relished this time of day, normally. What was not to like? The heat of the day was fading, most of her family would be heading back home to the various dens they lived in, Achal would return from his pridal duties, and now was the perfect time for a bit of light hunting if one was so inclined to do so.
That was actually what she wanted to do right then, even if it was just a hare that she caught, Tsu wanted to return to the den caring food. To prove that just because she was pregnant did not mean she would stop being a provider for the family. She was not to be coddled, protected, fed, or any other odd little things that seemed to hide in her families mind.
Even with being a bit frustrated with her family she wasnt stupid. She wasn't about to risk her life and the lives of those she carried with a extended hunt outside of pride borders. Instead she was a few yards inside of the border hunting rabbits and other small creatures. |

Athelas had decided to go for a wander along the boarder, gaze cast outwards int he direction h would go soon enough. The time for his banu quest was fast approaching and the young male was getting nervous about it, not really about going out into the rogue lands on his own, for he could hunt and he could fight, at least well enough to survive. No, what worried him was finding a lioness who would agree to come back with him. He simply couldn't imagine anyone wanting to follow a young lion not even fully grown into his mane yet... What had he to offer an independent rogue female that she couldn't get from a more mature male?
Sighing softly he shook his head hard from side to side, trying to dislodge the gloomy thoughts and find some kind of excitement within him. For a moment he was almost jealous of his brother, Roz, who was looking forward to going out there on his quest... as opposed to Athelas who was simply worried about the high probability of failure.
Lifting his head he pulled himself from his thoughts and was a little surprised to see Tsubame. Smiling he altered direction and padded close to her, dipping his head when he came within range. "Greetings Beybanu Tsubame." |
