Thamina found herself tired lately. Now a budding juvenile, she was receiving lessons from her mother, Tai and Mitra while performing simple duties around the den to help out. She didn't mind doing the work, it would one day be on her shoulders as Banu, or moreso as a Beybanu; however, it left her with less time to mingle and aquaint herself with the other children of the pride. She feared her polite demeanor was begining to rust and that she seemed more rough to others. It worried her.

Finding a suitable place to rest her head for a moment, Thamina splayed herself out upon a rock underneath a flowering tree. The rock was warm underneath her little rose colored body and it helped her to relax and let go of herself for a little while. Everyone needed to let go of themselves every once and awhile. Her father had told her that, and Thamina being Thamina knew her father's words rang true.

The little juvenile yawned loudly, giving off a small whine or two as she adjusted herself on the warm rock, "Rocks aren't supposed to be so comfortable."

((Sooo sorry for the delayed start! Will be faster next time.))

]The young lion picked his way slowly over the pride lands, head hung low and tail flicking irritably behind him. It was unusual for the tan lion to look so sullen but he couldn't help but shake his concern. Now that he wasn't just a little cub anymore, he couldn't help but feel the stress of responsibilities on his young, juvenile shoulders.

Where was his real father?

The truth had been a bit difficult for Atuf'hadi to swallow when his mother had taken him aside to speak the truth to him. He had always grown up without a real father, though he treated his mother's Pad as if he were his own. Sometimes he even liked to pretend they were related, as they possessed a few similar markings. But deep down, Atuf'hadi knew that was just a day dream. His father had been nothing but a rogue. While his mother had left out many a detail, there had been a sadness in her eyes, one he hadn't been able to discern.

Maybe she had cared for this rogue but he had refused to join? Maybe it was something else? The young lion was still too innocent to really understand the reality of the situation, but no matter how his young mind processed it, there was one fact that remained the truth - he had no father. Not a real one, anyway. And while this thought had never actually bothered him before, for some reason, today it was weighing on his shoulders.

"It doesn't matter," he told himself quietly, completely unaware that he was approaching Thamina and her cherished rock. "I've got Mom. That's all that matters anyway." There were other cubs in the pride who were all but ignored by their Pad's, so it wasn't as if having a father figure was terribly important but . . . . It also felt a little strange. He was much closer to his mother Suha than anyone else, including her Pad. But while she could teach him the art of living life in the Ukuucha'wafalme (his grandfather was the Vizier, after all) sometimes he felt like he was missing something.

Something important.

Ugh, all he needed now was a distraction! It was a shame his brother was out with his friends. . . Giving a sigh, the little cub decided to visit a favored part of the pride. There were some warm rocks that would be warm to sit upon, and maybe a little nap would shake the funk he was feeling. Trotting forward, the cub pushed his way out of the grasses, quite prepared to pounce on the rocks he knew were there, but caught himself with a start. Someone else had beaten him to it! The someone was white and a strange shade of pink! Giving a small jump back in surprise, Atuf'hadi dipped his head politely out of apology. "Sorry! I didn't know the rock was taken."
